Relationship (sweet and fun and passionate) isn't finish developing by end of this fic but sequel starts with more torture and torturously pointless efforts to move forward. The one where Keith's was raised by Thace and Kolivan and is captured by Voltron, separated from his new buds, then captured with Lance and just nothing they achieve actually does anything to help them or progress the plot over and over. Lance gets starlight, gentleness, and power of friendship scars which is cute and memorable. Keith has some friends who are tragic but lovely.

Summary
Keith has never really been good with words. He says what he means, and more often than not, what he doesn't mean, leading to several uncomfortable situations.
One of said occasions happens on a planet during a mission, where Keith's attempt at complimenting the blue paladin is entirely misinterpreted, but Keith isn't able to properly apologize before the mission goes south, resulting in Lance being subjected to the 'gifts' the locals possess.
So now Keith is at an impasse, with his communication skills severely lacking in the comforting department, and his growing feelings towards Lance making everything so much more difficult than it needs to be.

Usually, he’d make a witty comeback, but the way he was being held and the cozy, yet dark atmosphere made him feel more like just cuddling Lance. “Shut up... I love horror,” Is all he says as he flicks through Tubi and finds another on his watch list called “SlaughterHouse on The Hill”, which seems scary but also low budget, so perfect for cuddling with your boyfriend and unwinding.

In which Sage of Truth-esque Shadow Milk (not a soul jam holder) finds himself as the Beast of Deceit
Shadow Milk was a ‘normal cookie’; he often found it funny that he shared the same name as a character from a novel he read. Friends and students alike frequently teased him for it. But alas, he was a teacher at heart, and there was no way in his mind that he would torment someone so kind-hearted who believed in the truth.
After all, Pure Vanilla was such a charming character that he was swayed by his lowest and cried at his peaks when he overcame his suffering.
This is why it was distressing to find himself as an astral projection watching over Pure Vanilla in a world where he was still known as “Healer Cookie.”
With a book in his hands, he was given a checklist of requirements. Oh- He was Shadow Milk Cookie, from the novel. Shouldn’t he be given a script? Witches, where would he even begin? He was a performer at heart, but in something so life-like, he might have been given an impossible task.
Please let this be a lie, or a dream. Yes, a dream was better.

PV's whole thing with WL bing that he loves her always and forever and believes she understands he best only for her to basically be so secretive and independent and regretful in trying to make up for her mistakes that he cannot understand her in return. Then SM gets his hands on him and they are literally too sides of the same coin and PV is again slotted into some else's world who has found knowledge (the same knowledge) they cannot recover from and who is so lonely but open to him anyways. But! This time PV finds a way to fully understand that person rather than just being understood! And he is able to offer redemption rather than that person having to seek it on their own! They can figure it out together! AND HE GETS REJECTED! Man cannot win. And all that's canon! You don't even have to be shippy about it and it already tuggs on the heart like a grabby toddler.

Summary
So he knew that the system like to mess with him. He got snatched from his original universe, and put in this crap-fire of a novel after all. Who would be okay with that, not Shen Yuan that's who. The only thing he could be thankful for was that at least the original body he was supposed to be in, that of Shen Qingqiu, had already been stickified before he got here so he dodged a bullet there. Now all he had to do to remain alive was to avoid the protagonist at all costs. How difficult could that could be?
