You decide now that you're older, to go on vacation back at the same house you used to live in, hoping to see the same Merfolk again. When you do, your feelings get all bunched up, especially when they look at you with those gorgeous eyes and that cheeky smile. You sure hope your time with them doesn't come to an end! Though when someone comes to ruin the fun, can you change their minds and stay with your mers?

The only problem is how much you hate the idea of doing so.
The king knows how miserable you are. He truly hates to see his beloved child so depressed and uncomfortable. He knows just the gifts to make you feel better; after all, you loved bots. Why not a couple of fools to make you laugh?If you're from the original story and aren't sure what is going on, I recommend reading the post I left on "Chapter 18" (from the old version), which explains my reasoning a little bit. But I promise this is not for any bad reason; I just wanted to start over. I promise it will be worth it. It's the same story, just a little... better.

Two celestial animatronics, who are trained in the ways of magic and exorcism, call on her to help with a particularly stubborn ghost and are amazed that she doesn't need to use any incantations or incense sticks to get the restless one to move on. They find themselves falling for their beautiful songbird as they teach her to use her abilities and can't stand the thought of leaving her.

Until you get an offer to transfer to third, with an impressive jump in pay that leaves you wondering what the catch could be… but not enough to stop you from accepting.
Figuring it might simply be the “janitorial” of it all that causes the bump in pay, you start your new position- power goes out for an hour each night, you’re given plenty of odd jobs, but nothing crazy. Aside from the pay, lack of customers for the majority of your shift, you’re also excited to meet the animatronics! Unfortunately, they might not all be as excited to meet you.

You were a prototype. Built as a way to test the effectiveness of robotic staff. According to the people that built you, you were a mindless droid meant to preform the basic tasks that they didn't want to pay minimum wage for someone to do. They sent you to some fancy mall to be the janitor near the daycare, testing your abilities before they "make more of you".
You didn't like being called mindless. As far as you could tell, you weren't that different than the humans you saw during the day. You had thoughts and feelings all the same. So why did everyone treat you poorly? They poked and prodded at you, they purposely made messes just to watch you clean them up, they called you mean names while they looked at you, treating you like you weren't able to comprehend them.
Those two working in the daycare were different, though. They said hello to you, helped you clean up if they had the chance, asked you questions and actually cared about your thoughts. The happy one even called you his friend. You felt enamored by them.
You hadn't felt this way before.
