I can't believe I forgot to bookmark this. Here's some thoughts that are copied and pasted from my comment:
this fic is one of those that's so good i feel a little bit stupid trying to put my feelings about it into words... bits and pieces of it stuck in my head for a solid week after first reading, and now, months later i'm trying to piece together some kind of coherent response bc i reread it and im overwhelmed w/ emotion again...
it's such a refreshing take on an older and established relationship data/geordi in a sea of fics of adorable love confessions... and i love this understanding and desire it gave of like: they are in love. but what does that mean and what do they actually mean to each other??? as reality rather than fantasy, as partners rather than crushes... i think the insecurity of growing old was written so well here in this regard.
at one point this fic also made me think about like. how love can leave a crater when it's gone and how affected data would be without geordi. what does love mean with mortality? what does love mean without it? i love how the conflict is internal, is not external coincidences or outside forces but issues that are deeper inside, it felt much more real and simple and infinitely more complex to "solve".
the worldbuilding here is also really good and i love how it always felt purposeful and not superfluous... the context is important and it feels that way. and of course, the voices and emotions are so well written
the ending makes me tear up whenever i read it ! love as not only compromise but being willing to make that compromise. loving on purpose. loving with purpose. love as simply saying (and doing and thinking) i want you to be a constant in my life. idk how much of what im rambling means anything but please know this a top tier daforge fic but also something that will wander around in my head now for like ever whenever i think about my own mortality and also whenever i think about loving anything that death (time, really) can touch.

This is so so good... I love everything about it. The writing is so skillful, every sentence can be held up to the light and examined even further. As someone who's adopted, seeing any kind of content about adoptive families means a lot to me, even when coupled with Dola's faults here (and her flaws are so well explained). The sentence "When Dola was pleased with them, she would tell them how strong the family resemblance was." is like an arrow to the heart.

This is so well done!! So well written. Pazu and Sheeta are so in character here, I can hear the dialogue in their voices and it's all perfect. Their relationship is captured perfectly here, with that effortless sense of belonging and Pazu's endless loyalty.
Pazu shrugged, almost carelessly, but his words were anything but."I go where you go."
And he didn't so much as falter breathing those last words. Just said them, as easily as he had all the others.
“But you have a life here, Pazu! A job, friends, birds, a home. I couldn't possibly make you give that all up for me.”
"If you don't want to stay in Gondoa all of that will still be here. And if you do, well, we have the glider. It won't take much to come and visit if the weather conditions are good.”
“Your house—” she began feebly, but Pazu cut her off, a fond smile tugging at his mouth.
“—would be empty without you. Sheeta, don’t you get it? We’re family. I want to be wherever you are.”

This fic definitely made an impact on how I think about soulmates as a trope. A lot of people view soulmates as overdone or cliched, but ever since I read this in middle school, it's always been like coming home to another person. Like drinking hot chocolate in a warm blanket. Not overdramatic, not love at first sight. Recognition, familiarity, warmth.
Like in the summary: “Oh, there you are. I’ve been looking for you.”

I love this style of fic, with all these beautiful little snapshots making you put the pieces together yourself. The dreamy tone, the things left only barely said. It feels like seeing silhouettes of something too intimate, it's like knowing you're not supposed to know this (and you will never really know this) but you can see a moment of it anyway, just by its edges.
The best Mabel/Dipper fics are like this, and this one is the best of all of them.

This was so good, I teared up reading it... I love how pfreak387 characterized Frisk and Chara here, especially with their signing conversation. I like that Frisk's voice is used only sparingly, out of necessity and raspy because of it. And the way they talk about once being in the same body! Love that.
I feel like they wrote Chara's perspective so well here!! I felt so immersed that when Asriel kissed them, I was shocked just like them (despite having read the tags and knowing what I was getting into lmao). I was in a State gfdgfshg, I had to click to a different tab just to react before I clicked back to continue. The ending was so sweet as well, reading this put such a smile on my face.

Very beautiful descriptions of feelings and transformations here. Sweet interactions between Adrien and Chloe that straddle the line between platonic and romantic and fall somewhere into tender. Well done Chlodemption with an initially cold bratty Chloe who warms and softens up as the fic progresses. A good relationship between Chloe and Emilie!!! And Emilie actually playing a pretty big role in the story for once, which is so refreshing. Also, it's nice to see a multi-chapter miraculous fic where Marinette/Ladybug isn't always front and center.

I loved how wordbending characterized Asriel and Chara and their relationship. It was easy to empathize with both of them, especially when Chara was mean/cruel. Like, it was never really needlessly. I always could feel like there was a logic to Chara that Asriel was just too naive (or maybe just headstrong) to understand. And at the same time, his kindness for them! His tendency to push too far too. Always patient and impatient at once in a way that never ever felt contradictory.
I loved all the little bits of Asriel realizing he loved Chara! I laughed so many times during this fic too, there were so many sweet moments. I remember after reading the part where Asriel steals the butterscotch pie and tells Asgore he's going to save some for him and Asgore immediately stepping up to the promise of that reward: I laughed but then my heart twisted remembering what would happen to this family. I had to take a moment and just stare at the ceiling, feeling that heartache. All these happy moments painting such a sweet picture at their highest peak. You really made me believe in them as a family. Every time Toriel and Asgore were sweet to each other too, it was cute. Like when Gerson was telling Asriel about how Asgore got Toriel to ask him out! I couldn't help thinking, and in the end, they're not in love anymore. Or maybe they still are. But they're certainly not happy about it.
The ending! The ending got to me so hard, oh man. Finally telling each other they love each other but in bodies and souls entirely changed. This is something I think I always wanted to see in Chara/Asriel but never saw fully realized until this fic: I see you, I forgive you, I understand you. We've been horrible and we were horrible and I still love you. I have always loved you. I always will.
And recognizing the (dark) romance of Chara's death, becoming one with the person they loved most. I also love that the ending confronts the two of them with what Asriel said about Chara not being the greatest person. I've seen some (so few!) things acknowledging Chara as having witnessed Asriel admit that to Frisk, but having them being actually able to talk about it (albeit through Frisk's body) provided so much catharsis for me.This was so so good. Will definitely reread in the future.

Oh my god, this was so adorable and funny at the same time. My favorite part was:
If Geordi hadn’t put his VISOR back on, he’d have dropped it in shock. This was possibly the best news he’d heard since he listened to the message welcoming him to Starfleet Academy. This was the kind of moment to be immortalized in song and epic poetry. He cupped his hands over his uncontrollable wide smile. “You. Want. To have sex.”
“No, Geordi. I do not want--”
“You wanted our relationship to become romantic, but the only difference would be if we had sex. You want to have sex with me.”
“That is an emotional characterization of my assessment.”
“Sssh. Let me have this one. Nobody’s ever wanted to have sex with me before, not that much.”
I also really loved the descriptions given for Geordi's vision through his VISOR.
