Just as he had predicted, the infirmary was swamped by campers within two hours of the night shift. They had all flooded in around nine and Will treated them and had the campers with the least intense injuries out by the half hour.
By the final kid, a small scratch that definitely required a Hello Kitty bandaid, the infirmary was silent. Not exactly empty, but feeling as it was.
One more kid, Will thought to himself, Then I can just fuck around.
He hadn’t shown up with the rest of the group, waltzed through the door a solid ten minutes after the bulk of the campers had left. Will had him sit down on a cot, not taking a great glance at him before he walked over and dropped the bandages in his hands.
