Summary
For Touya, he was positive that Yokai existed, to him this wasn't a 'well they could-' thing, he had undeniable proof that they did.
He, was that proof.
So, he really didn't know, huh? Or perhaps, it was more accurate to say his relative didn't WANT to believe in the existence of such things. It would mean admitting that perhaps humans weren't at the top of the food chain as everyone thought. It would mean admitting that there were creatures out there that held more power than humans could only dream of having.
"Who are you to say? This world is bigger than our little kingdom, you know. Say, have you ever traveled outside these walls? Have you ever actually seen what's on the other side? One of these creatures you're so adamant on dismissing the existence of might live right outside our own little plain of existence, and you'd never know because of your minuscule world view. Cousin. You do not know everything, there is no one in this world who knows everything, so unless you have something positive to contribute to this conversation, I would like to kindly ask that you to leave my room, thank you." To say Touya was fed up was a complete understatement

"Before our service ends. Tonight we would like to pray for one very misguided individual. He has been traveling down a dark path for quite some time, and this might be our last hope to save him." The priests eyes would travel over to the row where his family would sit, before his eyes fell on him.
"Chae Hyungwon? Would you mind joining me up at the front?" He'd ask him, nervousness and confusion set into his unsettled stomach, but he would do as told and head up front. As he stood beside the priest, his eyes would scan the area, the many different expressions on each face. Some had pure disgust, others looked sad to some degree, some even looked angry.
There was only one unreadable face in the entire crowd. He had little to no time to fully register that persons demeanor before he felt himself be pried down to his knees. "Today. We gather here to pray for this poor boy. His family told us something… interesting about him, last Sunday.'

On their way back, Hyungwon had gotten an.. idea of sorts. Well, he technically got the idea during their time at the studio. Why, it must have been after their final run through of "rain", he had decided as one of their new up and coming producers.
He'd write Kihyun a song.
Not just any song, but a song that talked about the many feelings that entered his heart the moment he heard his voice. Where he couldn't vocalize such feelings, he could easily write them down in the form of a song. Tonight.. he would use tonight as a way of getting to know Kihyun, as a way to scout out his options when writing this ground-breaking song.

Summary
"Takeout." Toya said bluntly as he pointed towards the garbage can full of takeout boxes. Even when being forced to order takeout, Toya still remained a health freak. Everything he had brought had contained some kind of nutrients, vegetable or fruit based, so despite the fact that getting takeout daily was inherently 'unhealthy' in a sense.
He still made sure that his diet wouldn't be thrown off. Still, Akito didn't like the idea that Toya had been living off of fast food for the past month, he sighed as he shook his head in disbelief. "C'mon…" he said, grabbing Toya's arm and pulling him towards his front door.
"Akito? What happened to our singing sessions?" Toya asked as he let himself be dragged along, making sure to quickly lock the door behind him before following Akito towards his car.
"Dude. You've been living off of fast food for the past month. I don't care if all the food you've been ordering has been 'healthy', fast food is unhealthy in practice. We're going to the shop to buy you things so I can make you something." Akito explained as they headed towards his truck parked out front.

Summary
This damned dream, the same dream that plagued his mind every single night. The dream where his loved one died. He had always known that one day, getting too close to someone would eventually come back to bite him in the ass. He knew this, and yet he let himself fall, honestly how stupid could he be? He had done so well ensuring that throughout the 16 years he was on this earth, that his life would remain as stress free as possible. That the worry of friendships would never come to be a problem, as he’d actively avoid any possible connections with others.
Then came the 17th year, the year where everything actively changed for him. New school, new life and worst of all, a new roommate. A roommate that he had no choice but to get along with because he’d be living with him for the foreseeable future. At first, things were fine, he actively kept his distance while still being cordial. He would never outright be mean to his roommate, but he would never make strides to befriend him, either.

After a couple moments of silence, Toya finally broke it with a simple question. "..how have you been?' he asked softly as he leaned against the back cabinet, watching as Akito downed his drink and slid it back towards him, clearly requesting another. Toya grabbed the empty glass and quickly made another one for him. Even after all these years, the love he had for Akito never wavered once. His well being meant a lot to him, so he wanted to make sure he was doing OK.
"Fine." Akito mumbled bluntly as he grabbed the drink and downed it again, "I've been.. fine." he repeated, voice betraying his true feelings. Toya could tell that he was being lied to, even if his voice hadn't wavered at the end, he still would have been able to tell that he was lying to him. He had been hios partner, of course he knew when he was lying to him.
Still, they weren't that close anymore, he was in no position to pry into Akito's personal life anymore. Even if his love for him was still there, he wasn't sure that the feelings were still mutual. So Toya settled on a simple, "mmm…" an indication that Akito knew all to well meant, 'I don't fully believe you, but I wont force you to talk either.'

Summary
These memories he's made with Akito are ones that he doesn't want to forget, EVER. No matter how old he may get. He fully believed that Akito was his soulmate, they were bound together by fate and would be by each others side for years to com, but— even knowing this. He still wanted a way of remembering these memories that were bound to crumble overtime. That's when an idea came to mind, he was fully aware that it may have seemed cliché to most, but it seemed perfect to him, and so he brought it up as their next video call.
It was 3 in the morning on August 7th 2022. It was summer break, and the call had been going on for upwards of around 6 hours already. Akito was currently complaining about something Ena had done that really pissed him off earlier. His complaints only earning a simple, 'mhm' or 'is that so?" from Toya. Toya was jotting something down in a notebook, as his pencil danced expertly across the paper.

'NEW. Unofficial Vivid Bad Squad, photo shoot specific nuis blind boxes. GET YOURS TODAY!' That was the advertisement that had caught Toya's eye earlier. He knew their popularity had grown exponentially ever since Rad Blast, but he never thought they'd get to the point where people were making plushies of them. It was strange, seeing a little mini you in stuffed animal form. They had truly thought of everything, even down to the little mole beneath his eye, and the freckles that Akito had. Not only that but the creators hadn't seemed to cheap out on materials either, they seemed fairly good quality for the price they were asking for them.
Even if these plushies were just a quick cash grab, it was clear the artists had worked hard to make sure you got the most for your money. It was safe to say that Toya wanted one. The only issue was, they were blind boxes meaning that there was no way to guarantee he would get what he wanted. He had never been all to fond of blind boxes or gacha mechanics, sure, he loved claw machines, but those were far different from blind boxes in his eyes. Where as for claw machines, a level of skill went into securing the prize you wanted.

They had a long list of ideal artists per country they planned to approach, artists they felt would do amazing for their shows ratings. If one artist ignored or blocked them, they always had a backup just right around the corner. Their list of potential contestants would never truly run out, as long as a group didn't break up or disband between now and the following year, there was always a chance that the group could be approached the next year. After all, they had been using the same list for nearly 10 years, only removing artists if they were no longer active in the music industry.

'NewBark Tokyo Childcare Center : giving kids a comfortable and happy life since 1995.' What a load of bullshit. This facility was anything but a childcare facility. When do little white lies such as this one evolve into one big lie? When is enough enough? The inner workings of a facility such as this one were kept under tight security, as the government knew about their existence, but the general public probably wouldn't meet them with such kindness.
They would be outraged if they heard about the kinds of things innocent children went through here, or perhaps... they wouldn't. What if the outside world was truly as evil as the ones behind such a facility? It was entirely possible that the world knew about this place but decided to turn a blind eye. It wasn't outraged of the realm of possibility.
They were just kid's, and if the whole world was truly against them... what could they do? Fighting back wasn't an option, was it?

“Why do you always invite me?” Hyungwon would ask, "You've been doing this ever since we were kids, and the answers never changed.” Kihyun would simply scoff and shake his head, hands on his hip, “because you’re my best friend, and you really should get out more. God, just look how pale you’ve gotten from the lack of sun!” He’d say as he grabbed his arm to show Hyungwon the state of his complexion. “Not to mention, social interaction is a basic human need, you can't live your life on ramen and video games. You’re my best friend, and I just want what's best for you, but.. I'll never force you to join.”
Ah. So that's why, despite Kihyuns Tsunderesque response, it warmed his heart now that he cared about him that much. Still, he would decline just as always, glancing at Kihyun’s friends who were off to the side silently watching the scene unfold. Kihyun’s kindness, immediately followed by the judgmental stares of his friends, would make him decline per usual. Kihyun's friends seemed nice, it was clear they didn’t mean much by their actions, but Hyungwon was a chronic overthinker. Their silence and forced smiles were enough to make him reject Kihyun’s invite once again.

Three years. It has been three long agonizing grueling years since the unexpected break up of Bad Dogs. The red string that used to connect Akito & Toya was now broken beyond repair, both of them now going down drastically different paths. Akito was still singing, but Toya… Toya was now attending a normal school like the average person. He had quit music entirely much to his father's dismay. As for Rad Weekend, Akito was no where close to surpassing it, while he was a good singer there always seemed to be something missing. The passion he used to carry for the hobby was no longer there, you could hear it in his voice.
But all it took was one message from uninvolved parties to change everything. One message to help them have that long awaited chat they should have had back then.

I wrote this so that users would have some kind of idea what they'd see from me. What fandoms I divulge myself in , pairings I find comfort and enjoyment in , tropes that will often appear in my stories. That kind of thing.
Honestly, I highly doubt many people will actually read this, so if anything, it's more just a personal tool. Still, if you do happen to be interested in my writing, I advize that you at least skim through it, I'll be listing which franchises & pairings I enjoy, so you're likely to find something in common with me. Can you truly say you love yourself, if all you worry about is what other people think of you? This is something that Kai Monteago has always struggled to do. The internet has taught him that his opinion doesn't matter as much as the opinion of those around him. That his view of himself was never as important as others view of him. This is a story in which Kai learns that everything he thinks of himself is false, that his opinion of himself is the only one that really SHOULD matter. Well, maybe .. there is one other opinion out there that he's grown to care about.
OR
Damon shows Kai just how shallow internet dwellers truly are, he teaches him how to love himself and how to stop worrying so much about what everyone thinks of him.
