Summary
“Forgive me father, for I have sinned.” The boy whispered softly into the warm night air, feeling the rough shingles under his legs and the too-bright moon on his face.
It was only fair after all. He'd missed Ali’s birthday to go hang out with the guys, and his best friend missed his to go hang out with the guy. Daniel fuckin’ LaRusso.

Summary
'"C’mon LaRusso, we gotta keep moving!”
Daniel struggled to follow the instruction; his knee begged agonisingly for relief and he begged it to just shut up. He risked a glance over his shoulder. The men were closing in, gun barrels dripping in the wet. The hand around his arm yanked painfully, tilting Daniel’s world around him.
His feet left the ground as he toppled forward. His stomach swooped unpleasantly as they kept going. Daniel’s wide brown eyes met the terrified blues of Johnny Lawrence as they tumbled over the edge of a cliff together. Shit.'
It’s autumn, 1986, and Daniel LaRusso has a problem.
Mr. Miyagi’s Little Trees is just not making enough money. Sure, things are going pretty great on the surface, but the bills are piling up, and Daniel has to do something to fix it. An opportunity arises, one that’s just too good to pass up. However, this kick starts a chain of events that lead to him running for his life, with none other than Johnny Lawrence. Daniel’s life may be in danger, but he’s not so sure that his heart will survive being in this close proximity to the blonde Cobra.

Summary
They come to a stop at a red, where the engines soften to a rattlesnake hum. Johnny can feel their eyes on his face. He says again, shortly, “You heard Sensei. Nobody’s picking anybody. If LaRusso has a problem with that, he has a problem with Cobra Kai.”
“Yeah,” says Tommy, clearly uncertain but willing as always to jump at a cue.
“If you have a problem with that,” says Johnny, “you have a problem with Sensei,” and guns the engine without waiting to see the looks on their faces.
After his altercation with Johnny on the beach, Daniel LaRusso joins Cobra Kai. Johnny copes with it.

He needed to do something that would make LaRusso hate him again, then that would quash the churning terror in a gut. What does it mean if you think about a guy a lot but you don’t hate him and he doesn’t hate you? What could they be if not enemies, every interaction he’d had with LaRusso had been motivated by hate, hadn’t it?
During the December of 1986 two slightly messed up kids attempt to reconcile.

Summary
Dear Johnny Lawrence,
Well it took me five days to get through every videotape in the house and Ali says I can't call her up in Tahoe. You ever see the movie about the guy who gets stuck on his couch with a broken leg and then somebody murders somebody in the building across from him? I was thinking about murderers and then I started thinking about you.

When Kreese steps outside the dojo, he finds Johnny waiting for him. His golden-haired champion, who he hasn't seen since the night of the tournament. He expects him to plead, to cry, to fall to his knees and beg to be taken back.
But Johnny's not looking for forgiveness or reconciliation.
Meanwhile, over in Reseda, Daniel sits anxiously by the phone, waiting for Johnny's call.

Summary
“You saw what, exactly?” he asks in a near whisper.
The scorching flush in his cheeks, Johnny comforts himself, won’t be visible at least. Sex is sex – he’s had sex, and so have loads of people. So has LaRusso. Daniel. It shouldn’t be so difficult, so different to say the second part, to look at it head-on. Sex is sex. Everyone has it. “Come on, it’s,” he blusters, gaze jumping everywhere. He pauses, swallows. “I saw."

Summary
"What the fuck?!" Johnny yelped, managing to roll around and face the asshole—LaRusso, who tackled him. They rolled around on the ground, not getting any hits in as they bumbled around each other. It brought back memories of when LaRusso launched onto Bobby during soccer tryouts on their first day of senior year. He was like a rabid little pomeranian, ready to chomp down on someone's ankle. Which, in this case, was Johnny's.

Summary
Johnny feels tears on his cheeks. “All I wanted was for you to see me.”
“I did see you!” Kreese roars. His hand balls into a fist and he strikes the wall of the funeral building.
“I wanted you to see me and not hate what you saw!" Johnny screams. Roughly he pushes away his tears with the back of his hand. "But I guess that’s impossible. Silver did fucked up things. So did you. You still think the worst thing about you is this?”
