Jack looked up to see big concerned brown eyes gazing down at him from behind unruly hair. For a moment he felt unsteady, the room around him not quite level, very real danger of rolling head over heels into a corner.
Jack leaves behind a restrictive upbringing for the unknowns of college. On his own for the first time, he’s sure about his plans, unsure about himself, and a little lonely. Thankfully his RA, Robby Robinavitch, is there to support him in this scary new world…and maybe more.

Robby kneaded into Jack’s shoulders with his fingertips, chewing on his bottom lip. “You sure you’re not feeling…stressed?”
Jack stretched out against Robby’s hands. “Well, yeah, sure, I mean, of cour- wait, ‘stressed’?”

Jack is dealing with the nightmare of bureaucracy, carving itself into his beleaguered flesh. Robby can’t fix the bureaucracy, but maybe he can soothe the flesh in the meantime.

He had figured if Robby actually came over the odds of that sex probably flew up to 50/50. But it was becoming clear he was going to have to dig through the muck to even hit 30/70. He’d do it, he’d always do it, it’s what he did, and usually with a lot less in the way of a carrot.

"Wanna cut our losses and head out?" Robby asks, already prepared to grab Jack's bag and get the hell out of dodge.
Jack's lips twitch, eyes sparkling. "What's your hurry? We paid to see a movie, didn't we? We've still got at least a half hour left."
"No way. Are you honestly enjoying this shit?" Robby's brows shoot up.
Jack shrugs. "Maybe it'll redeem itself in the end."
"Yeah, by killing the guy off so we don't have to listen to him screaming every time he lays into somebody."
Jack's hand slides a little higher, bringing all of Robby's thoughts to a stop. "We don't have to go anywhere for me to keep you warm, that's all I'm saying."
