Summary
For the first time in a long time, the portals drop the chain in a land that none of them recognize. The sky is swirling with shades of purple and blue, the grass is a pale periwinkle, and the birds in the trees are bubblegum pink with three blinking eyes.
Or at least, none of them recognize the land until Legend recovers from the portal, looks around, and curses loudly.
A slightly misplaced portal brings the chain to Lorule. In the process of returning to Hyrule, the other heroes learn far more about Legend than they were expecting to.

Summary
A yell got caught in Wild’s throat. He wanted, needed to warn them to stay back, but there wasn’t time. The lynel’s focus had shifted to Wind, and there was no time.
Wind’s eyes just flicked up from his blade in time to register the creature’s eyes boring into him, roar steadily building in it’s throat, before he was suddenly being shoved and the lynel’s arm, holding the wickedest of axes wind had ever seen, sliced into Wild, who was in the exact spot he just was.
Wind’s throat seemed to have none of the inhibitions that Wild’s did, and a scream tore out. The lynel took sick pleasure in forcing the blade into Wild’s stomach as far as it would go, and then wrenching it out.
An awful, soul quashing rumble echoed out of the beast’s throat. It was laughing. Laughing at the glassy, dead stare of Wind’s brother.
And then there was light.

After the mountain, Geralt muses on Jaskier’s invitation to the coast. Following lyrics from one of Jaskier’s songs, he sets out to find his bard, with the hope of apologising. When he finds him - finally - he gets much more than he bargained for.

She swallows, looks away.
The plaza is silent, the only noise Link's steadily halting breaths and the rush of water over silver. She knows she should help him, her magic collecting in her hands and dripping down the sides, ready to help her oldest friend, and yet-

The room went silent. Every eye in the room bounced between the two men, no one daring to speak. Every eye except one- Geralt, who sedately finished chewing his breakfast, seeming to completely ignore the pleading glances Jaskier was shooting him. After a long pause, the witcher looked up and glanced around the table, meeting Jaskier’s eye briefly, before stating, calmly, “Can’t. He’s already married.”
“Right, yes, of course,” Jaskier nodded his agreement before actually hearing Geralt’s words. “I’m- wait, uh-"

Sometimes, when Jaskier said he loved him, Geralt's eyes were veiled with disbelief. Which was fine, he'd just get to court him again to prove his point.
Until he realized that Geralt didn't disbelieve his love, just his intention to stay. That was going to be harder to prove, it turned out.

For once in his life, Jaskier doesn’t know what to say. He’d always imagined a dramatic death, perhaps on a cliff side or in an ancient, magical forest. It would be a monster that did him in, or some other near-unconquerable evil, slain at his feet after he’d risked his very life killing it to save Geralt’s. And there his Witcher would be, cradling Jaskier’s delicate, beautiful body in his arms. Geralt would sob as the light left his very best friend’s eyes, swearing vengeance on whomever had dared bring him harm. Except they’d be dead, Jaskier supposes. He’ll have to workshop that part. And- and Jaskier would be dressed to the nines, naturally. An outfit to end all outfits. Continental fashion would mirror it for decades — nay, centuries.
Instead of, he’s going to die alone, stuck in a town that doesn’t appreciate his artistry and wearing nothing but an old chemise with a hole in one of the sleeves.
Oh, the horror of it all.

“You’re what, twenty?”
“Yeah.”
“You don’t know shit,” Geralt decides. He brings his mug to his lips again, swallowing the last of the ale. “You are very pretty though.”
“Well, perhaps I’ll surprise you.”
Or: Jaskier is known for being an exceptional lover. Where’d he acquire that particular skill set?

Renfri holds out another slice of apple, but Ciri pushes herself away, scrambling for a moment. She knew who she was?!
She lowers her hand, and brings the apple slice back closer to her. “Alright, I don’t know much about you, to be fair.” Ciri frowns. “I know who you are— in that I knew there’s a girl in my forest who needs help.” She plays with the apple slice, not meeting Ciri’s eyes. “While she waits… for Geralt of Rivia.”

Renfri dies. Renfri does not die. Renfri is given to the forest, and the forests are given to Renfri; she has a purpose, people to help, most of all Ciri. And when that day comes that Ciri and Geralt are reunited, well, who knows what will happen to her. In the meantime; Geralt pushes forward, Yennefer gets wily, and Jaskier writes a song that is not his own.
