Geralt sighed with resignation as the remainder of the guards surrounded him with jeers and malice in their eyes."
In which Lambert grieves for his best friend the only way he knows how and Geralt helps and a whole bunch of people die.
They are both shocked at the end result.

“But on our dining table.” Geralt can’t help it that he’s sounding like a teenager, whining about having to muck out the stables as punishment for sneaking laxatives into Master Varin’s dinner.
*Geralt returns to Kaer Morhen in the summer, expecting to find the keep empty except for Vesemir. Except, that's not what he finds at all. In which Vesemir isn't at all delighted to have his fun times interrupted, Yennefer is amused, Geralt is traumatised and Lambert wants to burn every piece of furniture in the keep. Also featuring: some fine elven vintage and Aiden's homemade lube (not the same).
