Summary
Despite Jaskier's hard work, there are still plenty of people who hate witchers. They think they're monstrous, inhuman, only held back from violence by a thin veneer of control. One mage has a plan to spread his views by capturing a witcher and bewitching them to remove their control. When the Butcher of Blaviken walks into his hideout, he's convinced he's found the perfect candidate - and a convenient way to get rid of the pesky bard that's been singing his praises.
Jaskier is forced to agree witchers are not human, but that doesn't mean they're dangerous. In fact, he's astounded by how many of Geralt's uncontrolled impulses involve touching.

The men jeer, swaying in their seats, the stink of alcohol and unwashed bodies mixes with the depression that hangs over the bar like a miasma, and all Geralt can think about is a bed he can’t afford. He does feel a pang of something in his gut as he sees the boy furtively glance around before snatching up the tossed food from the floor.
Poor pup, scavenging for supper when he should be tucked away safely at home somewhere with his pack to make sure he has a full belly.

Summary
Geralt has gone to knees in front of Jaskier, arms held behind him and chin raised high. He’s sitting on his heels, shoulders back. His posture is better than any submissive Jaskier has ever seen; like he has been waiting a long, long time.
Like it is all that he needs.
“Geralt,” Jaskier starts, but there are no more words in him right then.
Geralt’s eyes are still pitch black, and he is bleeding sluggishly from a dozen different wounds, whining low at the sound of his name. The potions help him in a fight, but they’re hard on his body, and he’s taken far too many of them if his eyes haven’t shifted back yet. He tilts his head to the side, exposing the column of his throat, and something sings through Jaskier that he cannot even begin to quell. Geralt is on his knees.
Geralt is on his knees for Jaskier.
“Oh, darling,” Jaskier says, reaching down to cup his cheek, watching the way his head lolls into the touch. His breathing starts to even out as Jaskier brushes the hair back from his face with his other hand, running gentle fingers over his brow. “You’ve been keeping secrets.”

The hands slip lower and try to get into Jaskier’s pants. They don’t succeed. The man – the Witcher, for fuck’s sake – growls.
Which is fair, Jaskier assumes, because while the young student’s fingers are roaming freely over the scarred torso and firm buttocks, Jaskier is still fully clothed. And it is going to take forever before he’s naked.
“Drowner’s shrunken ball sack,” the Witcher swears, tugging at one of the points holding Jaskier’s clothes together. “I’d sooner get into a noonwraith’s rotting cunt than your asshole!”

Geralt has only let slip a few snippets here and there about the pain and horror of the Trials, always followed by a growled don’t you dare put that in a song (as if Jaskier ever would, as if he doesn’t tuck away the softest and sharpest parts of Geralt deep into the folds of his own heart for no one else to see). What he’s heard is enough to paint the picture of a brutal, often-fatal nightmare. To go through something like that twice—
“Only him? No one else had to do it twice?”

Summary
It is nothing special.
That is what Geralt thinks when the mage utters the spell, magic battering him like a storm. It is powerful, blowing back his hair and tugging at his clothes, but it is a simple thing.
Speak the truth, Geralt of Rivia.
If they mean to tangle him further into their magic with his name, it is a wasted effort. He is Geralt now, but he has not always been. It is something he drew on like a cloak to keep himself safe, and never dropped again. It seems he is tangled enough, anyway. A truth spell— strong. Uncomplicated. Not something Geralt has dealt with very often.
Most mages would simply press into his thoughts, or at least try. Sometimes they cannot, or will not; other people’s minds are not always pleasant places to be, witchers least of all. Geralt least of all, and he doesn’t make it easy.
It is nothing special, Geralt thinks, and then the whole world is spinning and the magic sinks into his blood.
