“Are we having this argument again?” she yelled back, twirling around and catching her opponent off guard. The man went down with a grunt, and Julie kicked at his behind until he slid across the deck, landing neatly in the ocean as he did.
“Yes!” Luke yelled back, pushing his own opponent up against the railings. Alex, beside him, dealt a blow to send the man into the ocean before returning to backing up Willie. “We will continue to have it until you agree!”

A loud, enthusiastic voice answers Julie right away, no hesitation. Its owner sounds out of breath for some reason, like he ran a mile to pick up the phone. He speaks quickly, impatiently, like the radio’s about to shut off forever, or something, and his request will never be heard.
"Hi, I'm Luke and I'd like you to play 'Now or Never' by Sunset Curve!"

So listen, it’s been a few years and Reggie still hasn’t convinced Luke to record a country album. So, he figures, he’ll just have to come up with a plan to convince Luke. And it’s a pretty simple plan, all things said and done. There are exactly two steps:
Step 1: Form a band.
Step 2: Record a country album.
Technically, this is what happens—except it doesn’t start with Reggie. It starts with Flynn, actually. And a trumpet!
Specifically, it starts with Flynn and a trumpet.
But anyway—Reggie, country band, trumpets.

Summary
Over time, Camp Phantom has simply become known as a selective summer camp: one that took only the kids that Caleb saw promise in. And Caleb wasn’t exactly lying. He really did take only the ones he saw promise in, he simply looked for different traits than others might.
For example, say, hypothetically, a boy who could see the future. Or, hypothetically, a girl who could interact with ghosts. Or, hypothetically, a boy who could summon objects to him with a simple thought. Or, and this is completely hypothetical mind you, a boy who could manipulate time.
Those might be some traits that Caleb saw promise in. Just, like, as examples.
