Summary
Alastor looks to Husk for an almost imperceptible moment, eyes narrowed, before he storms off. Usually a look like that would mean Husk was in for a shitty job or a leash tugging later on, but this look in his eyes was a new one. Something Husk has seen reflected in his own expression many times. Betrayal.
Angel scoffs, “What dick’s up his ass?”.
Husk squints at Alastor’s dissipating shadow, “…I couldn’t tell ya’."

“You're bleedin’. I can smell it, so don't even try to sidestep this,” Husk growls.
Angel's face goes from confused, to surprised and disgusted in such quick succession that Husk gets whiplash. And then he chuckles. Husk's jaw drops.
“Fuck you laughin’ for!?”.
Angel shakes his head, smirking like there's some joke he's not getting, “Husk, I'm not hurt.”.
“Not hurt, my ass—”.

Summary
“Shut the door,” Angel whispers.
Husk feels his body comply before he can think about how horrible of an idea that is. The dressing room has a decent amount of space, so he at least does himself the favour of backing himself up against the wall. Angel bites his lip in a fond smile and the butterflies in his stomach almost feel worse than the burning in his gut. He considers throwing up all over the carpet.

Summary
The bar closed at 11pm, every night, on the dot. Not a single drop more would be poured as soon as the clock struck, every glass would be taken, every bottle corked, everyone annoyed except for Husk. Past closing time he could always be sure nobody would bother him. Nobody needed him for anything more than a cocktail in the day, and the patrons had usually shuffled off to flashier bars by that time of night anyway. Husk could retire to his own room in peace. So it came as a rather startling surprise when a knock arrived on his door at nearly two am.
OR: Husk receives a knock at 2am and Angel receives some gentle love.

There’s a familiar burn at the back of his throat, the need for another drink, always another drink, and Husk might just follow the call. It’ll make it easier to sleep if everything is fuzzy and blurry. If all his thoughts are muddled and nebulous. They won’t be able to all circle around Angel like fucking vultures.
“Hey! What the fuck are you doing in my—oh.”
Husk whips his head around and has to blink a couple of times to make sure he’s not actually that fucking drunk. He drops the glass onto the plush carpet beneath his feet. “Angel?”

His ears folded back, "Cherri—"
He started and she rolled her eyes, grabbing his suspenders she dragged him in. Closing the door behind him, "I've seen you starin' at his door before." She let him go. "You're aloud to miss him, Husk. We ain't gonna invade shit, now lay down." She pointed at the bed.
___Or, Husk and Cherri are both missing Angel, so they do what's logical and lay in his bed, and talk.
