Chan startled, shocked to see he had forgotten all about the bottle of sleeping pills sitting right in the middle of his living room. “Ah— yeah, sometimes,” he replied, handing one of the mugs to the younger man who accepted it gratefully, wrapping his fingers around the ceramic to warm them up after having been outside all afternoon.
“Be careful with those, hyung,” he said, taking a sip of his hot chocolate. “I heard it’s really easy to overdose with them.”
Guilt welled in his stomach, settling like a rock. “I will, Jisung-ah,” he lied. “Hyung promises.”

Chan is ready to end it all when he— quite literally— bumps into a frantic Jisung who gives him a reason to stick around a bit longer. Before he knows it, Chan has a whole group of people he would die for instead of in spite of.

It’s the first time Hyunjin’s ever been featured there post-elementary school, when his macaroni art was just slightly more advanced than the other kids in his class, and the sight of it leaves a bitter taste in his mouth because he did nothing to deserve the spot of honor. Unless the culmination of his life’s success is simply marrying Kim Seungmin.
Hyunjin’s tasked with picking out their engagement rings, a pair of golden Tiffany bands. He sends Seungmin’s to him in the mail. His mom has to text Hyunjin the address. He doesn’t have Seungmin’s number saved in his phone.

He works as an underpaid IT Support Technician at a firm that doesn't value its employees at all. However, Felix endures it. He has to endure it; if not, debt collectors - out to collect his father's debt - will show up at his door demanding money.
Every month is a struggle; he barely manages to pay his rent, study debt, and the debt left by his deadbeat father. For Felix, a proper meal consists of bread from his favorite corner shop with some off-brand chocolate spread. It does help that Fresh Cove, the gentrified hell-hole of a grocery store, offers free samples almost every single day!
Everything gets a lot worse when Felix is forced to find a new job and realizes that the obnoxious rich bastard from Fresh Cove is his new boss.
Who the fuck decided that Bang Chan, the most annoying person in the entire world, was to be his boss? Had it not been for the great salary provided by Racha, then Felix would have gladly drowned Chan in a bucket of boiling hot coffee - though that would ruin his perfectly curled hair and beautiful smile. Fuck that shit. Felix was furious.

(In which it’s been almost three years since Stray Kids went on an indefinite hiatus, the freedom doesn’t taste as sweet as it should, and a push from a drunken friend is what it takes to finally put sharp pieces of two broken hearts back together.)
