You were a new student to Baxter High. Moving your senior year wasn’t easy by any means, but with your father’s job relocating you to the bustling city of New York, you didn’t have much of an option but to ride along. You dreaded leaving your small, rural community in Southwest Virginia; the streets you’d known your whole life and the friends you’d made when you were little… You didn’t want to leave the beauty of the mountains and the security you felt living in your childhood home, but it was a non-issue. You’d be going away to college soon enough anyways, might as well get used to being away from the security and serenity you’d grown so fond of. Really, it’d be fine if you weren’t lab partners with the most obnoxious, grating, cocky, and downright infuriating boy you’d ever had the misfortune of laying eyes on: Johnny Storm.

Hallowed be thy name… His lips curled around the words, his cheeks red with the flush of anger and guilt and embarrassment. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done… He knew how he felt was wrong, he had been taught it all his life. He was a man; therefore, he needed to find a nice dame, make her his wife, settle down with her and have lots of children that he would raise Catholic. That’s what the church always said to do, at least.
But Steve–Steve wasn’t interested in dames and marriage and having a bunch of babies and settling down. Steve was interested in his best friend. His male best friend.

It was just another day at Nat’s Cafe. Steve had just finished cleaning the blender and was washing his hands in the sink when he heard the chime of the front door, alerting him to a customer entering the cafe. Steve knew most of the patrons who came in this early, most were regulars at this point who stopped in before heading off to their corporate office jobs, but this man clearly wasn’t one of those regulars. This man was tall with broad shoulders and a scruff of a beard covering his chin. He was handsome, undeniably so as he approached the counter, standing just a bit back from the register as he considered the menu.

Maybe it was the fight with your abhorrent ex-boyfriend Jake who just couldn’t get it through his thick skull that you were done, but you ended up out, alone in New York, at some shitty bar. You were nursing your second vodka cranberry of the night, sipping slowly as your eyes tracked around the bar, looking for something, or better; someone to take your mind off of your shitty ex.
That’s when you spotted him: Captain America, looking horribly out of place in the low-lit sticky-floored establishment. Your eyes caught his, blue as the sky even in the dimness of the bar and you smiled, waving him over. This could be fun.

He’s my friend.
Steve didn’t know what else to say. Bucky, his friend, was not okay. Well, that was obvious, and he felt stupid for pointing it out, but he didn’t have a better word for what was going on. Everything just wasn’t okay. He had gone back under ice just a few minutes ago and Steve was sitting in the room over, head in his hands, feeling completely useless. He couldn’t help Bucky, he knew that. There was nothing he could do to undo all of Hydra’s brainwashing, all of Bucky’s meticulously wiped and reprogrammed memories were untouchable for Steve. All he could do was take care of him, so he did.

Summary
Steve faltered for a moment, and Bucky almost broke the reverie to tell him not to stop, that it was okay, that this was catharsis, this was relief, that Steve hadn’t hurt him even though Bucky kind of wanted him to—but he didn’t have to. Steve leaned down and pressed his face into the crook of Bucky’s neck and Bucky felt his skin grow hot with Steve’s tears, because of course he understood, of course he felt the same, of course.
Or, two weeks after Steve rescues Bucky from the Germans after Azzano, they catch up properly. It hurts in new ways.
Mostly porn with feelings! A lot of feelings!

When the tantalizing gardener offhandedly mentions that his career isn’t exactly fruitful, Aziraphale offers to help him. Crowley, in response, jokingly mentions the concept of ‘sugaring’ to the priest, assuming he’d have no idea what he meant, but Aziraphale is full of many, many surprises.

It all began during the Roman Empire.
It was the first time they’d seen each other in a while, and it was long before Crowley started feeling like he did now.
But he’d offered Aziraphale a glass of wine, and the angel had asked (tempted, in fact) him to Petronius’s new restaurant. One glass had become many, and when they had parted for the night, Aziraphale had crowded into his personal space and wrapped his arms around his middle.
It was just a hug. Nothing weird.
But it still sent shivers up Crowley’s spine when he thought about it now.
