An All Timer fic that is clearly the result of long, sustained, careful thought, expertise, and scholarship. When the fic started teasing out the academic politics of the Yiling Laozu research project I knew I was in for a good time; when they started using the need to quarantine in order to not expose Wei Wuxian to modern diseases as a plot device for both the story's interpersonal and overarching political development, I knew it would be generational.
