“Hey, princess. Ready for landing?” Catra asks as she sits down on the aisle seat.
“Not really. It’s my least favorite part,” she replies, fidgeting with the buckle of her seatbelt.
“It’s okay, I’ll be here if you need anything. Might distract you from the turbulence.”
Adora breathes out heavily, and it seems like Catra has picked up on her face dropping.
“Sorry I can’t bring you better news. Landing might be a bit rough tonight since the weather is shit,” she says, wincing a little with compassion.
Adora turns to look at her, smiling softly despite her tense shoulders.
“I think it will be fine as long as you stay with me,” she says.
OR

“Mara, can I ask you a question?”
“The Light Hope has a query for me?” Mara laughs.
"Yes, I suppose." Light Hope smiles. "What does love feel like?"
"Love?” Mara stops. “That’s… how can I explain it?"
Light Hope blinks, waits for Mara to proceed. She has learned humans don’t have instant access to their data banks like she does.
“It’s good, a good feeling! Although sometimes it can hurt.” Mara says. Light Hope tilts her head. “It’sー complicated, but it’s just something that makes you feel warm.” She smiles.
“Warm.” Light Hope repeats.
She feels like that information is important, essential even, so she saves it, carefully. Puts it on the top of her memory banks, for easy access.

Summary
They stay that way for a long time, Catra’s face tucked into Adora’s shoulder, Adora gently cradling Catra’s head. Adora is careful not to hug Catra too hard or make her feel restrained, anticipating the moment that Catra will start to pull away — but Catra doesn’t. She hangs on so tightly it hurts, her claws digging through Adora’s jacket and into her back, latching into her like she did when she was a kitten and didn’t know how much her claws could hurt. Adora tries not to wince, tries not to move a single muscle, worried that if she does the spell will break and Catra will struggle away, appalled at having shown weakness.
But Catra doesn’t let go. And so neither does Adora.
