The only people who were guaranteed admittance were VIPs (which Wei Wuxian was definitely not), or whichever omega Hanguang-Jun happened to be fucking that month. Wei Wuxian fit his general type, and decided to pose as the newest flavor on a night when the crime lord would be out of town and unable to verify his identity or not.Unfortunately, their intel was wrong. Lots of people think about quitting their day job for something brighter and stranger. It's one thing to think about, another to do it, and another to get as far as he has. So even if it's not what he originally wanted, Xiao Zhan tries to treasure and enjoy everything that comes along with his new life. He'll keep trying until he decides to give it up, whenever that is.
There's a lot to enjoy about his new gig. The script is fantastic, the production has actual money so the sets and costumes look good, and the directors and producers know what they're doing. Not much more he can ask for.
Then there's his main co-star.
Xiao Zhan's life is at a crossroads when he lands his first proper lead role. He's not looking to make it even more complicated.
