He can’t help but feel that pinch of excitement start to lift his chest, but then his gaze flicks over to that picture on his wall, and he feels that air start to weigh him down.
Dinah’s voice comes back in once Ted hears words directed at him. “So, what do you think about it?”
“What do I… What am I supposed to think, Dinah? That’s - that’s great.” Ted can’t help but cringe at the way his voice seems too monotone. “Real great. Yeah.”
“Ted, I… I thought you’d be happier about this. What happened?” Dinah sounds dejected.
“What do you mean, what happened?”
“… Oh. I get it now. Is it because you and Booster haven’t been talking?”
