At forty-five, Killua has accomplished a lot in his life; he has the perfect job, lifelong friendships turned family, and boatloads of free time since leaving Zoldyck Law Firms. The one thing he's missing, according to Alluka, is a boyfriend. Killua was quite content to leave it that way, until he met the owner of Aura Cafe.
To say that it's a lot of work being the owner of one of Yorknew's most popular coffee shops would be an understatement, but Gon loves his job. Now that Gon hired his best friend, Zushi, as Aura Cafe's manager, Gon has more spare time than he's had in fifteen years and Mito thinks it's time for him to start dating again. The problem is, the only person Gon has any interest in right now is one of the coffee shop's regulars.

Killua, predictably, ignores him and takes a large sip. He immediately hisses, his expression twisting as he jerks back.
Gon takes the hot chocolate again with a laugh. “I warned you!“
“Shut up.”
“Did you think I was lying?”
“I said, shut up.”
Gon leans into Killua’s space. “Make me,” he murmurs.
Killua’s eyes drop to Gon’s mouth. Gon waits with bated breath, his lips tingling with the anticipation of Killua kissing him.

Summary
Prince Gon Freecss and his reluctant bodyguard, Killua Zoldyck, embark on a fake relationship to save them from predatory fae advances as they travel into the realm of Aiai. Gon has no idea Killua is only pretending to be human and is actually on the run from his fae family. Neither of them understand why Gon (who, despite being gifted, is definitely human) develops a mysterious knack for fae magic along the way. A group of magically talented murderers are travelling in the same direction and will kill them on sight. Even if Killua and Gon survive Aiai, they must eventually part, so falling in love is out of the question. Or so they both say, at the start.
Slow burn. Unconfessed love. Jealousy and possessiveness. Deepening friendship and desire.

Summary
“Wanna try, Killua?” Gon asks, breathless and grinning despite being tossed to the dirt less than thirty seconds ago.
Killua tears his gaze away from Gon’s bright face to the open field in front of him. A crowd of students are scattered around in an uneven circle, all cheering loudly as a boy and girl take their places on opposite sides of the ring.
“I’d need to know what the hell is even going on before I agree to anything,” Killua says, exasperated, and Gon’s grin only grows. “Why are you all hurling yourselves at each other like that?! You’re lucky you didn’t get your front two teeth knocked out!”
Gon laughs. “Don’t be silly, Killua! It’d be impossible to hit each other; you'd have to be soulmates for that to happen!”
(In a universe where a person cannot physically kiss someone who isn’t their soulmate, a class of idiotic high schoolers spend their free period running towards each other to see who could get the closest before the universe repels them)

Summary
After having his heart broken by his ex, who his best friend would constantly call broke and ugly ("seriously man, he needs to pick a struggle!"), Killua is coaxed into going to a bar to let loose. Being an aspiring fashion designer who could care less about the people outside of his major who dressed like they lived, breathed, and shit out Forever 21, he hardly spared a glance at any of them. Which may have been his mistake, because he was so not fucking prepared to get a face full of Gon Freecss who, apparently, wants to eat his face (but, like, in a hot way. Not that he's a vampire or anything, but that would be so much fucking hotter).

A single, long finger points straight at Gon, and his honey eyes widen in surprise. “Me?”
With a snicker, Killua drops his hand and makes a show out of rolling his eyes. “Yes, you, stupid. What’s your name?”
Gon’s stomach drops then, realizing he’s being chosen as the first victim. Something tells him that Killua is not inclined to give any passes to the people he picks. That’s fine, honestly. The familiar feeling swirls in his gut; Gon’s always more than willing to rise to meet a challenge.
“I’m Gon. Gon Freecss.”
“Gon Freecss, do you pick truth-” Stopping for a dramatic pause (something Gon is quickly realizing is part of Killua’s personality), he grins wickedly, the fire causing a sparkle in his eyes that feels mischievous. “-or dare?”

Summary

Summary
When a group of traveling merchants arrives in his town, Killua unknowingly stumbles upon a spirit trapped inside an old antique vase. He promises to grant Killua a wish if he can help him find his lost body: a deal that’s hard to resist when one is as poor and desperate as he is.
How did someone manage to misplace something as important as a body, you ask? Even Gon himself doesn’t seem to know, but Killua can tell he’s starting to get oddly attached to the idiot, which definitely isn’t good. To make matters even worse, others are after Gon’s promised wish—like stuck-up pirate captain Kurapika and annoying rookie officer Leorio.
With nothing but bad luck on his side, Killua is beginning to worry that his first adventure may be his last.

In an ideal situation, they'd spend some time alone, maybe go on a few small adventures. Take it slow. Rediscover what drew them to each other in the first place.
But Killua had officially decided that the situation was not ideal. In fact, it was so much the opposite that he was going to have an enormous hickey on the inside of his elbow.
