Summary
“I...” Alhaitham's not sure where to start, really. So he lays it out, plain and true: “I hurt people today. I think I killed someone, Kaveh.”
That gets Kaveh's eyes to widen, large and glassy like a deer. Alhaitham wonders, was he about to cry earlier? “You... okay. What happened?”
There's no judgment. No anger. No hate in those round red eyes, that usually go narrow and sharp like the edge of broken glass when Kaveh hears someone's been killed. Is it because it's Alhaitham, or because he made a promise? Is he planning on how to start packing efficiently and go tell a matra tonight, Alhaitham wonders?
Kaveh's hand squeezes Alhaitham's knee. He hasn't moved it.
“I... I don't know. I just– I've been sick, and I left early, and I–” Alhaitham's throat closes up. It hurts to talk, and he swallows around the knot in his throat. Kaveh just nods, letting him find his voice. “...I attacked someone. Two people.”
“I didn't think vampires were real,” Kaveh says, breathlessly.
something is terribly wrong with alhaitham.

Summary
Against his will, Alhaitham is injected with an experimental psychoactive substance. He’s felt fear before, but never like this.
When Kaveh finds Alhaitham, shaking and panic stricken, he brings him to the hospital and stays at his side. He will get him through this.
“I can’t stand you,” Kaveh says, lightly brushing his knuckles over Alhaitham’s cheekbone.
“I know,” Alhaitham murmurs, closing his eyes and bringing their entwined hands close to the pillow.
Alhaitham’s breathing starts to even out, at long last. Kaveh strokes Alhaitham’s hair until he’s fast asleep.
“One of these days, I’m going to tell you.”

Summary
The end, as Alhaitham had not expected, came quietly.
Of course, there was all the tears and the screaming that came before, but Alhaitham will always remember the quiet afterwards more.
Kaveh, standing in the doorway of what was once their home, staring at the wall with glistening eyes as he tells Alhaitham farewell for the last time. It was the first word Kaveh had said to Alhaitham in days, and it would be the last for many to come.
Kaveh and Alhaitham do not speak for a year after Kaveh moves out. -

Summary
A handsome guy buying flowers, knowing their meanings, tailoring a bouquet just for a coworker…
Kaveh sighed dreamily as he carefully pruned the Silk Flowers (uniqueness, individuality, secret admiration) of their shriveling stamens, then grimaced at the irony of finding himself in front of them while ruminating on a customer.
“Not like I’ll ever see him again,” Kaveh puffed.
Little did he know.
