Eddie snorts, taking a sip of his beer. “I am well aware of that, Buck.”
“So why do you want to take me on dates?” Buck asks incredulously. “Won’t that make you uncomfortable?”
That makes Eddie sit up straighter, a frown playing on his lips. “I already told you that you being into men changes nothing between us. I meant that.”
“Okay, fine, great. That doesn’t mean you have to start buying me romantic dinners.”
“I don’t have to do anything,” Eddie points out. “I want to. At the very least so that you understand what romance really looks like and don’t settle for a dickwad like Tommy ever again.”

Summary
A horrific virus outbreak has transformed most of the world into flesh-eating, highly intelligent zombies. Cities have been taken over, remaining survivors being forced into hiding.
Carter and Alex run into one another a few days after the initial outbreak. Both of them have been through a lot, and despite their previous animosity towards each other, they team up, trying to put that aside for the sake of their survival.
Carter has trouble opening up. Alex slowly breaks down the walls he’s built, and the two find out more about one another than they ever would have known prior to the apocalypse.
