“He has my name tattooed on him rightttt here.” Val poked the place over Vox’s heart.
As Val spoke the words, Vox felt his screen heat to degrees he wasn’t aware were possible. He had to find a deep, dark hole to crawl into so he could rot forever. No, he needed to die. It was the reasonable thing to do. Was there some angelic steel around he could use? There had to be, right?
Velvette’s head spun sharply, turning to stare at Val. “Wait, wait, wait. What? Don’t joke, Val.”
Valentino and Vox (but mostly Val) tell Velvette about the time they drunkenly got each other's names tattooed.

“I don’t think this is very wise.” His words hung heavy in the air, floating just out of reach as cozy lamplight illumed their frames, close enough to smell ash and flower petals respectively.
"How do you mean?"
A brief flicker in the sanguine gaze, almost like... regret? "It would be a mistake, Rosie."
A weight tugged at her heart, solid and unmoving. Her tongue flicked out to wet her parted lips as she thought fast. “I agree… but, that’s clearly not what we’re doing.”
Alastor was warm, and his smile was the gentlest she had ever seen, and her useless heart was pounding in her head. “Then what are we doing?”

Valentino took up a lot of space. There was no way around it. He engulfed the average sinner by at least six feet. His clothes required a tremendous mass of fabric, long enough to fit his legs (even for his tiniest miniskirts), and wide enough to stretch around his sternum. His chest was massive, and he was eternally cognizant of his wide shoulders that could bulldoze another sinner with ease.
But he was beautiful. At least now he was.
TLDR; Valentino has an eating disorder. Vox invited him to dinner, and he's going to make it work.

Vox awakens from a wretched nightmare, parodying a darker outcome of the night he nearly decimated Heaven, Hell, the Vees, and himself (and Shok.Wav). He cannot distinguish the dream from reality.
Valentino isn't on his side of the bed, and without anybody else to anchor him, Vox runs straight to Velvette's bedroom.
Even after everything, Velvette surprisingly has a heart for this pathetic man, especially when he is crying in his shark pajamas.
