It isn’t the worst thing he could’ve said, but definitely could’ve gone smoother and it’s far from the opener he’d planned.
“I just, uh, wanted to let you know that…” Ugh. All of the websites said to keep things flirty and light-hearted, something Quentin knows he’s incapable of, so what is he doing?

Extra credit, we could call it.” He looks up at Quentin, trying to convey even half the heat he could feel boiling in his body through his gaze. “I’d do anything to make you happy.”
Quentin’s lips press into a thin line as his eyes flicker between Eliot’s eyes and his hands resting on the desktop. “Really?” he says, something, Eliot can’t tell quite what, brewing behind his gaze. “Anything?”
A little light and fluffy crack fic in which Eliot realizes the new, hot teacher may not be as clueless as he thought.

Snow in Fillory is a rare thing.
When it comes, if it comes at all, it’s a light dusting, more a whimsical powdered sugar coating on the world than any kind of real deluge. It’s light enough to be swept off the mosaic with a broom, to be kept at bay from the cottage with a couple simple warming charms. It’s nice to look at, but almost never lasts past noon, disappearing with the warmth of the sun moving overhead. In their fifteen years in Fillory never had snow been more than a minor inconvenience.
Then, in the winter of the second year in the reign of High King Marcus The Unrelenting, three days from the Mid-Winter Festival, they awake to two feet of snow.

In which everyone is a bit older and a bit wiser.
Quentin is the successful author of a bunch of romance novels. He's searching for inspiration for his next book and maybe looking to live a little vicariously through his characters once again. He's doing his best; taking his meds, seeing his therapist (who somehow tolerates him), and feeding The Catwins every night. Everything is fine until Quentin realizes that he himself could live out some of the fantasies he's only put into writing before.
Eliot is settling down somewhat in his thirties. While he's still as fabulous as ever, working as a costume designer. He's content as can be in his own little kingdom--really. Well, that is until Quentin comes calling and well and truly throws a complete wrench into things with one simple request. Then he begins to wonder if he was ever really content at all.
Also, theres a colony of feral cats.

Not even being a magician can rescue Eliot's Solsti-yule-mas, this year. After graduation, he'd leapt at the chance to apprentice with a world-famous magical architect, even if her office was in the Midwest; but now, with a major deadline looming, he can't take any time off for the holidays; and an approaching blizzard looks like it's about to ground his best friend at LaGuardia, two days before Christmas. The only bright spot? Eliot's boyfriend just beat the storm—and he brought Eliot a very cool present.
Then their holiday plans take a sideways turn when—not even 24 hours into Quentin's visit—Eliot's mother shows up at their front door.
