-Each orc is (supposed to be) grateful, and knows their place, and pays their debt
-Each orc collects stories, and doesn't let details be lost, even if one notes disagreementAnd when night is deep and dark and safe, and songs of the Lords scattered or silent, they explain to each other why is it so.

There’s a ritual to earth-eating. First, they take a sip of tart spring wine or cold river water to wet their mouths. Then the clay, lightly lifted and swiftly popped onto their tongues to dissolve into powdery mud. When most of the soil has slid down their throats, they follow it up with a sprig of bitter greens. Each elf might consume ten or more little coils of clay at the flood feast and there are always leftovers, idly chewed on over the following weeks.
Every year Bëor observes in silent horror.

My own take on the infamous waterfall scene, exploring Elrond's motivations. The first chapter is canon compliant (and explains how Elrond managed to take the rings in the first place), where as the second chapter leaves canon behind in favor of whumpy, hurt/comforty goodness and Galadriel and Elrond actually TALKING!
"Every time Elrond tried to speak to Galadriel about their plans going forward or about the Man who had come with her, the fraudulent king, she brushed him off. The rings ever drew her gaze, cold and stoic, and for the few moments he could hold her attention, it was almost as if she looked through him instead of at him.
His mother had looked at him much the same way."

Three weeks ago Orodreth had welcomed them with open arms in Minas Tirith, while keeping up a healthy dose of suspicion, much to Maeglin's approval. The people of Gondolin had been naive enough not to search Eöl for hidden weapons when he arrived, something both Aredhel and Maeglin would have insisted upon, had they been informed in time. Orodreth is far more reasonable. While he is overjoyed to see his distant cousins, this is also the first time since Gondolin was built that someone has been allowed to leave.
Many who searched for the city simply never returned.

Orodreth's thoughts on the arrival of the Prince and Princess of Gondolin in Minas Tirith after 285 years of silence from The Hidden City.

There's only one problem - neither Artanáro nor Tyelperinquar ships it.
