Summary
Will's been acting— strange, Mike thinks. He's caught Will skulking around the house like he's got lead weights attached to his ankles, watched his eyes blink listlessly without a hint of light in their irises, heard his voice go so raspy Mike wasn't sure he'd been speaking at all. Mike can’t help but worry.
He doesn’t look too good, either; clammy skin, pale, ashen face, hollowed cheeks like he’s hardly eaten in days. Will's acting half-dead already, and the world's not even close to ending yet.
Mike, on the other hand, is being slowly tormented by a strange monster with fangs long enough to spear him through. These two things— Will's strange behavior, and Mike's impending doom— may or may not be related, but Mike's got to figure it out. One way or another.
(Or; Will puts his life on the line to keep his friends safe, and nearly loses it entirely. Mike does all he can to bring Will back— and, in the process, brings them closer together than ever before.)

The delicate nose, the cheekbones…Will is an artist, he should know beauty, has set it down in charcoals, watercolors and oils over and over for the history of the future to admire, and yet he has never come across a face so delicate, so attractive. He could paint it a hundred times and never tire of it. He could only paint this man for the rest of eternity and his soul would know no greater joy. Even he, never skilled with the hammer and the chisel, wants to carve marble replica after marble replica, wants to be the Pgymalion to this Galatea.
He is Helen and Will is all the suitors, already at war with himself at just the slightest glance.

Jonathan.” Will whispers desperately, he’s managed to open his eyes but his body is locked up. It took him five minutes to gather the strength to even call out to Jonathan. Jonathan whips around in an instant and is crouching. With the slightest shake, Will comes back to his body and all of the pressure surrounding him goes away.
“What? What’s the matter.”
Something is different, his dreams follow a pattern. Everything seems fine and dandy for a short period of time, then he’s falling head first into a storm of flashes that he can barely make sense of. But whatever is happening now is different. “I want mom.”

He rubbed his thumb over one of Dean’s knuckles, watching his eyelids flutter a little before he turned his face away, swallowing.

Summary
Just like the many amazing Slytherin Harry Potter fics, this is my take on what would happen if Harry Potter was just a little bit smarter, a little bit crueler, and acted a little bit more like the Slytherin we knew he could be.
Takes inspiration from too many stories to count, but includes tropes like Slytherin Harry, awesome goblins, dumbledore bashing, and Harry destroying any machinations laid out for him simply by existing and giving things a second thought. He refuses to be anybody's puppet.
After Harry is introduced to the wizarding world, some red flags are raised and questions left unanswered, so he decides to ditch his babysitter and return to Diagon Alley unsupervised. Harry returns to the bank and finds that Dumbledore has been manipulating everything from behind the scenes. Eager to leave the Dursleys behind, Hadrian - he learned his name was - will do whatever it takes to get out from under Dumbledore's thumb, even if it means walking a darker path than expected of the Wizarding world's Savior.
