Summary
Something horrible in Dazai's past comes back to haunt him in the form of a brown envelope full of pictures.
He expects to be abandoned and shunned, but for all his precision in foreseeing outcomes, he finds that he is not the best at predicting the emotional reactions of those that care about him.

Slowly, Dazai bends down and picks one of them up in a shaking hand.
Kunikida has never seen him like this.
"I don't understand..." Atsushi is saying, but he stays with Ranpo, Kyouka and Kenji where he is, "What are those pictures? What's going on?"
Dazai is terrifyingly held together and calm and collected, his eyes half-lidded and hollow, when he gathers them up from the floor and straightens, when he moves towards the desk and sets them by tapping them against the top, and then carefully puts them back in the envelope.
The silence that follows after is deafening and unbearably long as Dazai stands there with his back to the room, his head bowed, his eyes hidden by his hair.
"I'm going to kill him," he whispers, so quietly it took Kunikida several seconds to make it out.
In one swift motion, he turns with the envelope in hand and storms out of the office.

Above the motel, the streetlights bathed the parking lot in a warm yellow hue, dulling the wind's bite blowing off the prairie. This wasn't the first time Dean had ended up in the middle of buttfuck nowhere responsible for more that could be asked of him; the sign leading into town read 'A Great Place to Live' in weather-worn paint. Looking at the greasy tinted glass of the front office, Dean had a hard time believing that.
Or- Going back to live with his father after spending time at Sonny's Boys' Home, Dean realizes that he and Sam need to get away from John's care. In an attempt to run away from their dad's abusive house, Dean takes Sam across the state of South Dakota to find refuge with their family friend, Bobby.

Summary
Chuuya Nakahara wakes in the infirmary of the Armed Detective Agency with no memories of what landed him there, or why he isn't able to manipulate gravity at will.
Dazai's at his side, tight-lipped about the ordeal and hiding behind his veneer of calm, and lets the doctor inform Chuuya that he'll be staying at the Armed Detective Agency until further notice, the deal already negotiated between their organizations.
Living with Dazai keeps bringing up the past, though, and there's nothing worse than being forced back into old memories where none new can form.

Summary
It all began with an auction; one that Dazai never planned on attending. However, here he was, keeping company to a man whose name alone was enough to make his stomach turn in pursuit of personal gain and information.
It was clearly a mistake. And yet, nothing could have prepared Dazai for the unbreakable force that arrived in a shape of a tiny redhead with bared teeth and ocean blue eyes that held everything that Dazai did not have-
- a will to survive.
Or
Dazai ends up attending an auction as means of meeting Shibusawa when he encounters a short redhead with a sharp tongue and a price on his head.
It takes one look for Dazai to realise that he is not ready to let the man go. But, just as Dazai might soon find out, Chuuya is not one to let others order him around and he is ready to do anything to make Dazai's life into a living hell.

“What was that?” Dazai said, pulling away his hands from Chuuya and back to his lap. Chuuya took a deep breath, and slowly opened his eyes. Dazai was staring right at Chuuya, still no emotions present on Dazai’s face, not even a small reaction, or even just a crack from Dazai’s face.
