He studies the tear tracks on Legend’s cheeks, the damp evidence of the rough night’s sleep glistening in the light of the stars. The veteran’s nonchalance is almost convincing, if not for the way his eyes catch a little too much of the dying campfire to hold anything but the remnants of tears.
Legend says nothing for a long moment, and Sky almost thinks he may never say anything again, before he mutters, “How do you do it?”
