Summary
After breaking off a dead-end relationship and fleeing a dead-end job, Estelle Hermann, a twenty-nine year old woman, has thrown herself into a brand new writing career in an attempt to outrun the ticking clock of her twenties. Over the past few years she has tried to trickle-publish fantasy and sci-fi works of varying qualities, but the only ones that have stuck are those pocket-sized supernatural romances that are sickly sweet and stick to one’s brain like molasses. After a long road trip and a clumsy attempt at finding her vacation rental for the season, she runs into a pair of odd older men who bleed odd vibes and scream mystery. Can a chance encounter with the two - one hyper intelligent and seeking the truth, the other colorfully charismatic and living each day to its fullest - help convince her that the summer of her life is just beginning?
