Summary
Once upon a time, Lucifer was minding his own goddamn business, living a perfectly normal life – one that he was very happy with, thank you very much.
That perfectly normal life – that he was very happy with – was abruptly turned on its head by the arrival of a mysterious fae, calling himself ‘Alastor’.
It turns out that normal life gets a lot harder to manage when you’ve got an almost mythical creature following you around, insisting he’s ‘helping.’ Lucifer isn’t sure how almost getting him arrested is meant to be any kind of help at all – but he has to admit, there is something about this man. Fae. Creature? Something about Alastor.
Something that seems to draw him in, an elusive sense of belonging that he’s never really had. The question is – can he prevent himself from throttling Alastor long enough to figure out what it is?

Summary
When Alastor returns to his childhood home after living overseas for years, he is excited to discover that his childhood friend Lucifer is still in town. However, much has changed since he left. The once cheerful and sweet child he had known has grown into a cold and distant adult who hides away in his vast mansion. When Alastor attempts to reconnect with him, things turn sour. Summary
Alastor drug his bloody, battered body through the wreckage of his tower; jagged edges of wood and steel tearing at the gaping hole in his flesh with every inch gained.
The blood loss must be substantial. His legs stopped working properly within minutes of the fight. By the time he propped his back against the radio console, his fingers were numb and no longer obeying his commands.
He sucked in a wet, shaking breath; grimacing as he felt the air escape right back out of his own chest.
There was nothing else to be done.
...
By the time they scramble back to the wreckage, something is definitely amiss.
They are not met with the crumbled body of a giant, red, deer demon… In its place is an impossibly fragile man, soft and lean and long; and so, so vulnerable.
What the fuck?
The sight of a human laying smack in the middle of the combined destructive forces of both Heaven and Hell is too much for any of the demons present to handle.
All at once, all four sinners scramble to shield the prone figure from further danger.
Before he realizes what he’s doing, Lucifer has scooped a very human Alastor into his arms and portaled him away to the safety of the palace.

The events of the day before must have taken a greater toll on him than he'd originally thought, because when he finally stirred, the sound of his own breathing and white noise loud within the closed space of the drawn bed canopy, Lucifer was not at his side.
And Lucifer never left the bed before him – even on the few occasions he woke before the sinner.
