Shinji has accepted his new place as the pilot of Unit 01, but little does he know that life is about to become even more terrifying for him and his friends. Struggling to come to terms with and accept his feelings for Kaworu will soon be the least of his worries, and as what little comfort he has in the world begins to slip from his fingertips, Shinji knows that he won't come out of this unscathed.
Kaworu has come to a brilliant, frightening realisation, and his new mission is now to protect Ikari Shinji, no matter the cost. But old ghosts are coming back to haunt him, and he's slowly beginning to understand that this isn't the first time he's fallen in love.
Once again, Kaworu is determined to change history. And, once again, the angel on his shoulder is convinced that he will fail.
But he won't give up that easily.

The android, or, the man, beside you wasn’t the first you’d encountered — in the modern world, they live freely and for the majority at peace. Revolutionized to adapt, to join society. After the Uprising, through some trial and error, androids were given the lives they so desire.
But none like Connor. None made just as interesting.
