After losing his sight, Jiaoqiu feels confused and dependent on others, struggling to live his life as he used to. Although he is aware he needs assistance, it is painful to admit. Moze keeps a watchful eye on the foxian as he *independently* bumps into stuff and fights with his own boundaries to be of help.
They both own scarred bodies and souls, in need of care and affection they’re afraid of accepting. They’ll need to navigate that unknown territory somehow.
Tuskpir will enter the picture and some more characters too, hopefully to bring some comfort and fluff for everyone.

Summary
Feixiao has been on the run for what has felt like her entire life, fleeing from the monstrous instincts of the wolf within her soul that yearns for a taste of Foxian blood. Just one drop is all it takes to pull the trigger, but she refuses to give in to the beast's desires. A chance encounter brings her before an isolated doctor, and although she fears that she could be a danger to him as well, she agrees to let him patch up the wounds she had earned from a brawl with a borisin. Jiaoqiu, living alone for decades now, is all too familiar with Feixiao's type, being stubborn and selfless with every action. Unaware of her condition, he still feels unnerved by her presence but treats her with the same care as he would with any other patient.
Both constantly burned by their own inner flames, it becomes a waiting game of who will be the first to burn out, a game that neither thinks the other is a part of.

As such, Jiaoqiu didn't trust her. And he didn't trust anything that was making her a human being. He had learned a few decades ago that trust was a dangerous thing, and it was more dangerous when it came to people like her, that appear in a blink of an eye and turn everything upside down. He had made peace with himself, with everything that made him now who he is. For decades, this was all that he hoped for, to find something that will bring his old-self back. But then, with just a look at her strings of her soul, Jiaoqiu knew, and more than that he felt, how something was changing.

A soft sound broke the silence—the scrape of the chair, straw slippers scratching against the floor. Moze’s voice was closer now, “You weren’t supposed to be in any danger, Jiaoqiu.” His words were quiet but sharp with frustration.
Jiaoqiu bristled. “My role is different,” he countered, conviction edging his tone. A cold sweat had started pooling at the base of his nape, damping his matted hair. “I used what I had… Strategy is part of healing too.”
The tension in the room thickened. Jiaoqiu could feel it, pressing down on him, suffocating. A sharp slap reached his ears, Moze’s hands smacking on his knees, the sound revealing more of his restlessness than anything else. His voice was tighter when he spoke, a thread of regret woven into it. “You only had to wait a little longer. We would’ve gotten to you.”
Jiaoqiu inhaled sharply. He was starting to feel nauseous. “You would’ve been too late. It… it wouldn’t have mattered.”

Alternative Title: 'I Cannot Believe I have to Put Up With This, Thought Jiaoqiu' (because the writer played the 2.4 and 2.5 quest and was craving more whump)The Plot: Jiaoqiu knew better than to hope he'd be rescued. He knew that it'd only be a matter of time before his captors broke his will and his body. And he knew that he was more likely to be vaporized by one of Lan's arrows than to ever see Feixiao again.
