This story explores the making of the man Bucky Barnes was to become, a product of his time and childhood and establishing who he truly was. He was never a stranger to violence or pain or the disappointment that seemed to follow him, yet he never stumbled or strayed from his path, continuing to do what he saw was right.
This is only the beginning.

Summary
1889 The meeting is disastrous and Hob is left picking up the pieces of his life. Too bad someone took interest in the words shouted in the fray.
1916 Dream is summoned by a novice witch who cares not for the consequences, too driven by his own greed to notice.
1921 Dream's captor hasn't aged a day but his excitement on word of something he's been searching years for is palpable
1922 A letter finds Hob, inviting him to a place he dares not revisit so soon, by son of the man who caused him grief beyond imagining and he declines.
1923 That same letter appears, an apology and invitation to a dinner to express the mistakes of the father is made and Hob decides enough is enough. Sons weren't their fathers and it was time to fix the present.
December 1923 Hob meets his stranger once again
