This seems to get Jean’s attention. “Of course I said yes.”
“That means you want to,” says Jeremy. “You want to marry me.”
“Jeremy.” Jean is looking at him as if he is stupid. And, well, perhaps Jeremy is a little stupid. “We have been together for eight years.”
Truthfully, Jeremy has been thinking about his and Jean’s wedding since his fifth year at USC.

But this: Jeremy sitting in a heap on his living room floor, Jabberwocky Moreau cuddled into his lap, tail lazily wagging? This is something he’s tired of losing, the microdose of his absence—the threat of it being whole if he keeps this up.
He waits for the “I can’t,” braces for it like it’ll land a physical blow. But it comes quietly, softly in the way Jeremy’s knuckles stop behind Jab’s ear; the sudden halt that hits right before the prolonged absence.

Riko grinning with vicious pleasure as he slices Neil open. Riko’s eyes reflecting the glow of the lighter licking Neil’s skin. Riko laughing as a tattoo gun needle digs into Neil’s cheek.
Riko, Riko, Riko, smothering and impossible to escape. Panic knifes through Neil as he yanks uselessly against the handcuffs. No, no, no —
And then he’s saying it aloud, “No, no, no,” because there isn't a gag cutting into the sides of his mouth. Because Neil isn’t at Evermore. He’s at home with Andrew, who’s right there when Neil opens his eyes — only near the foot of the bed now, not touching Neil at all.
Neil has long gotten used to reading the faint shades of emotion that pass for expressions on Andrew’s face. But never, not even in Andrew's medicated, manically expressive days, has Neil seen Andrew wear anything like his current look of horrified shock.
Neil agrees to try the handcuffs in bed. It goes badly. Cue angst and h/c.

"Sitting on the floor in his high school art building’s hallway, Jayce stared blankly at his laptop. He was currently deluding himself into believing homework was a feasible task while waiting to be called into his musical (yeah, you heard the narration right, musical) audition.
In truth, Jayce was one solidly-brainstormed excuse away from packing up his supplies, pulling out his keys, and driving home.
His friends had laughed when he’d told them. “A musical?” Vi had almost choked on her smoothie after their most recent sparring session. “What, Talis, you’re about to start throwing jazz hands instead of upper cuts?” Caitlyn had just slung an arm around her girlfriend’s shoulders, smirking and remarking that Jayce looked like he’d be great in a kick-line.
Groaning and shutting his laptop, Jayce turned up the volume of his headphones and picked up the sheet music he’d printed, blasting the accompaniment for “Lay All Your Love On Me.” If the voices in his head wouldn’t shut up, he might as well polish his cut of the song."

She mirrored his scrutiny and scoffed. “What, and you are?” She gestured to the cairns beyond the trees. “Are you going to protect me as well as you protected them?”Calamity is here.
The Goddess Hylia appointed but two children to prevent the end of the world. The powers they were promised don't come easily, and after years of failure, Princess Zelda can't help but wonder if Hylia chose wrong. It certainly doesn't help that the boy fate has tangled her with makes her seethe.[This story is set in a fusion of BotW/TotK, with a couple tweaks and some familiar faces'n'places from older games joining along the way!]
