“Really?”
“Really.” His response was almost instant. “You were incredible. The IO borehole, the pigtail catheter; I’m going to be talking about that for the rest of my life. Of course I want you for night shift.”

Thick black parka, her coat and scarf in his hands. Ears and cheeks already reddening in the cold. He feels a bit like a mirage, or the opposite. The illusion of fire in a frozen-solid tundra.
