A letter might be a good idea, is all. For Callum, and Rayla too. He does not want to be the king his father was, but it’s just paper and ink, and Callum had seemed some shade of glad to have Dad’s letter. Like it was a relief, maybe, to know. Maybe a letter from Ezran could help, too, if his big brother comes back from Xadia and Ezran’s not here to greet him anymore.
(Or, the night before Ezran gives up his throne and is imprisoned, he decides to write his brother a goodbye letter. Just in case.)
