I’d brag to Lucifer saying I saw heaven without even entering it.” A love story in between a mortal and Death incarnate is never going to be a good idea, but maybe loving and losing might be better than never loving at all.

It was sweet to hear, but Rio would not let herself believe the woman she was starting to grow very fond of, as everyone ends up resenting Death one way or another “Why do you want to come with me so bad?”

“Ah, but many do not have my dashing good looks and agreeable temperament. Wouldn't you say, Lord Ozai?” Aang grinned, turning away from the set of sapphire-studded jewellery as a maid rushed to remove the pieces from the case.

Aang only took her silk gloved hand, raising it gently to his lips. “I’m not asking you as your king. I’m asking as a boy who has just seen a beautiful girl and wishes only to dance with her.” Katara only blushed, ducking her head to avoid his gaze, fixed wholly on her. “Please. Call me Aang, just Aang.”
The orchestra swept into a ballad, with a delicate harp melody that seemed to dance between the sounds of the violin and cello accompanying it. Aang took the girl in his arms and the two began to dance, their steps complementing one another like a light breeze over a still lake on a warm summer’s eve.
“What may I call you?” Aang asked, the two switching directions sharply as he spun her out and then back against him.
“My title is Princess, of the Water Tribe.”
“I didn’t ask for your title.” Another spin, and then, “I asked for your name.”
