Nico—who had previously clearly been lost in his thoughts, his sight unfocused towards the direction of one edge of the bed—then looked at him, softly, loving, from his big brown eyes and through the long lashes that framed them. He stayed silent for a couple of seconds, his face taking the usual expression he had when he was battling with himself over something.
