Or: After a time travel mishap, Timothy Drake, Red Robin, gets sent to the past just moments before nearly being killed by Jason Todd. The two have a fight and a conversation (and a conversation while fighting) and maybe they'll be able to create a kinder future.

Tim leans forward with his elbows on his knees. “Look, I’m not stupid. I know why I’m here. Everyone is overreacting, though. I’m really fine. Bruce is just paranoid.”
Brenda doesn’t react outwardly, but the space between her brows produces a faint wrinkle. “I think any parent would be worried to find out that their child has been cutting themselves.” Hearing it said so openly, like it’s a word that’s okay to use in real-life conversation makes Tim flinch.
Everyone else has been talking around it: Tim’s problem, or This situation. They never called it what it was because it’s not what they think it is. Tim isn’t doing anything more dangerous than what they all do every night. People get hurt sometimes; it’s an unavoidable part of life. Who cares if Tim has a few extra scars to go with the rest?

Jason was dubious. “Do you actually trust this guy?”
Dick shrugged. “I trust he’s got money. He’ll let us stay for as long as we want. It’s a better deal than we’ll get anywhere else.”
It sounded like a dream, but Jason knew better. They both did. “But what’s he gonna want in return for all this?”
Dick just ruffled Jason’s curls, trying to be comforting despite his own anxiety. “Don’t worry about it, little wing. I’ll handle it.”
“Dickie—”
“Just focus on you and Timmy, all right? I’m the oldest. I won’t let anything happen to you guys.” He wrapped the arm not already holding Tim around Jason and tugged him down so he would lay with them. Dick didn’t plan to sleep a wink, but Jason didn’t need to go sleepless. “It’ll be okay, Jay. I’ll take care of us.”

And the Joker is dead. Everyone knows that. The only other option would be—
“Two dead Robins in the same room?” the owner of the horrible laugh calls out to him, delighted. Jason spins, searching the vast wing around him for any movement in the shadows. “What is this, a crossover episode?”

Bruce taught his Robins how to lockpick on day one. Either one of them could have escaped easily by now if they desired to do so. Something as rudimentary as a pair of handcuffs can’t contain two trained bats, yet neither seems to be in any hurry to escape.
“My guess is they lost a bet,” Dick theorizes to Bruce later while they watch on as the pair attempts to get on Jason’s motorcycle without tripping over each other. “Or it’s some kind of weird deal and whoever wins gets the other’s Xbox or something. They seem fine, Bruce. Leave ‘em be.”
But it’s weird. And this bizarre game goes on for longer than Bruce anticipated he’d have to watch, carrying on for another day, and then another, and then two more. Tim and Jason stay locked together at the wrist, and neither gives any explanation as to why that is no matter how much Bruce prods.

But he’s not, like, obsessive about it. He still eats, and most of the time it’s perfectly fine. He’s lucky that Alfred already cooks for a vigilante diet, so most of his meals are lean and filled with protein anyway. He’s just…more careful about it.
No one lingers or comments on how little Dick eats. Anyone who looks at him can deduce that he’s an athlete. Health-conscious eating comes with the territory, and being an acrobat at that means everyone expects him to stay lithe.
Besides—he’s Robin, isn’t he? Might as well eat like one.

They look an odd pair walking the streets of Boston at an age where other mothers might keep them tucked under their arms with stories of monsters shaped like men. But this city is their home; all drunk filled gutters and abandoned corner shops, it’s the only home they know. And as they slip between alleyways, passing back and forth a single cigarette Sean swiped from one of his brothers, they almost blend in completely with the graffiti. Billy, slight and fair-haired, just as sharp and bright as the tags on the wall; Sean is his opposite, what he lacks in height, he’s already making up for with the width of his shoulders and the strength of his glare.
At this age they believe they’re invincible. They are, just not for the reasons they might think.

aka when Neal goes back to prison after Kate's plane explosion, he's put into solitary confinement more often, creating a conditioned reaction of small spaces triggering his flashbacks. It's just perfect when a storm knocks out the power while he and Peter are in the elevator.
