Hi everyone!
I (29M) recently got a ferret as an emotional support companion. My mental health has been really rough and I’ve been finding it hard to get up in the mornings. I thought having an animal to take care of would help. The problem is - I think I gave my ferret my depression.

In the interest of cultural sharing between two planets recently at peace, Karkat Vantas has opened a blog on a shared social media site, to schoolfeed humans on the nuances of quality cinema.
In the interest of doing some dumb bullshit and making hella money, Dave Strider has just released Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff: The Movovie, the latest in his oeuvre.
The thing is though, SBaHJ has never just been dumb bullshit. And somehow, Karkat Vantas is the first person to notice. A revelatory review somehow snowballs into a whole new era for Earth-Alternia diplomatic relations, and said dumb bullshit lands Karkat and Dave right in the middle.

first fic I've written so bare with me
Union has long seeked to control Alternia, a valuable yet dangerous planet populated by a race of aliens called Trolls. The planet's strong military, lead by Her Imperious Condescension (HIC) had stopped any diplomatic discussions long ago. However when HIC began a campaign of swift and cruel expansion beginning with the destruction of Alternias sister planet Beforus, who had been a Union ally. Union took this as a direct attack, and the excuse they had been waiting on. This began many long and devastating years of brutal war lasting 15 years and counting.
Currently Union has begun enlisting groups of Lancers, highly skilled mercenaries piloting mech frames, for specific and dangerous missions. One of these groups known as The Beta Kids have been assigned to a distant planet on the edge of HIC conquered space.
Unknown to Union this planet was also home to a different group, refugees from Alternia and fellow lancers who’ve recently escaped Alternia after rescuing the Heiress to the Alternian Empire.by combining my two hyper fixations, we present to you: homestuck but big robots!
