Summary
Jisung is sitting on the couch with a careful distance that has never existed between them. Like he expects to be told off the next second. Something ugly and strangely pouty twists in his chest. He especially hates distance when he's sick — hates feeling untethered and cold and alone inside his own apartment. Usually Jisung fixes that without even trying.
Today he's sitting like they're acquaintances.
"Are you mad at me?"
A blink. "Huh?"

Minho steps closer. Red. Code Red. “Like what, Hannie?”
“Like that,” Jisung manages, his breaths coming fast.
“Like you’re the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen?”
Every ounce of air is knocked out of Jisung’s lungs. He feels his mouth open and close and open again like a fish.
“I’m- no, that’s- you hate me. I hate you. We hate each other,” Jisung emphasizes, waving a finger between the two of them.Minho’s brow furrows. “I don’t hate you.”

Seungmin smiled back. “I’ve been here.”
Jeongin stepped beside him, close enough that their shoulders brushed. “You’re always on the edge of things.”Seungmin shrugged. “Someone has to hold the railing.”

It was bittersweet. Having so much freedom and nobody to share it with.
The contacts on his phone were still there. All it would take was one message…but what would he say? They all knew what they wanted, they knew what they were doing, Jisung was just…stuck.
He sat in his room every night, writing and writing, song after song, but he had nobody to sing them with. Nobody to produce them with.
He was alone. After so many years…suddenly he had nobody.

He turns his back to the cream puffs for like two seconds, before he hears a thump, splashes? and some clincks behind him.
He straightens himself up, and turns around slowly, like it's a scene from a horror movie.
Taking in the scene in front of him. He now wishes he never turned his back. It is actually a horror.

Minho is helping the others empty the car, and carry all their bags and belongings into the main house. They are staying for a good ten days, so they packed a lot.
Jisung stays outside in the courtyard, taking it all in. His big brown eyes dont now where to look first. His black fluffy tail swishing excited.
There's somekind of barn further down a small gravel road, fields and meadows on each side, the meadow has a lot of purple colours, and there's a large green weatherbeaten shed by the house, and a garden with a lot of trees, apple trees? and maybe orange trees?
Mmmh... Im hungry, he pats his stomach.
His friends and Minho have disappeared into the main house, he can still hear their distant voices.
The main house, where Jisung suppose he is going to stay, is a big yellow wooden house, with a porch out front. Lots of plants. It look cozy and homey. Hyunjin told him his aunt used to live in America, and that she had it built after the house she lived in over there.
