It pulsed happily while Alex felt his heart pounding painfully against his ribs. He had instinctively backed away from the unknown and ended pressed against the far wall; his fingers were pressed against smooth glass and were chilling the longer his body remained taut in panic.
He turned and felt his stomach fall.
The glass was an observation window and for as far as the eye could see was nothing but stars, not a planet in sight.
He was on a fucking spaceship.
