Summary
Ilya Rozanov has signed with the Ottawa Centaurs and the world is very confused.
Zane Boodram is probably the one person affected the most by this shocking turn of events and it couldn't come at a worse time. His mentors and fellow captains are gone, and he's been left to lead the worst team in the league by himself, which is bad enough, but now he has to deal with Ilya Rozanov joining the roster?
The Cents don't have a winning legacy to protect, but they do have a positive team culture built up over years by their previous captain. Bood is determined to make sure that all the work doesn't go to waste, so he's not letting the Russian Menace come in and change it.Leaving Boston was supposed to be easy.
Ilya wasn't supposed to feel bad about. And he doesn't. Not really.
This is a good thing. A new team. The start of a new life with Shane.
But the Ottawa Centaurs are a mess and things would be a lot easier if Zane Boodram would stop being so weird about it all...Series

Ilya rubs the sleepiness from his eyes before focusing on the screen. He reads Harris and Shane’s conversation, then casually sets the phone down. “Is probably nothing.”
“Nothing? Management never makes players come in on their off days for ‘nothing’ meetings,” Shane’s panic is prominent.
“Moya tykva (my pumpkin), is not worth worrying about right now. They probably just want to give us award for being most amazing and handsome hockey husbands.”
“Ilya, we are the first ever hockey husbands.”
“I know! Is why we deserve this award!”
OR- When the league sabotages Shane and Ilya’s first Pride Night, they start a rainbow rebellion. The boys fight an uphill battle against toxic hockey culture through acts of defiance and protest, attempting to force the league to be more inclusive and accepting. While still actively fighting his own inner demons, Shane is forced to confront blatantly homophobic policies as the lines between activism and obsession blur.

“Hollander,” suddenly Ilya gasps. He looks so shocked that his head must hurt more than normal. “Did you speed?”
Shane’s cheeks darken, Yuna didn’t think it was possible. Then, her son mutters something almost unintelligible.
“Am tired, Hollander. Please. What was that you said?” Ilya huffs, Shane’s hand still in his.
“I rented a McLaren so it would be fast. It was.”
No one finds out about Shane and Ilya’s relationship during Ilya’s stay at the cottage. However, during Ilya’s final season in Boston, the Raiders’ plane suffers a malfunction on their way to Ottawa, so Shane, who is in NYC for a Metros vs Admirals game, leaves the team behind without telling anyone and drives to Ottawa, renting a ridiculously fast and impossible-to-miss car to get to his boyfriend as soon as possible, not caring about coming out in the process. This decision has several consequences, including nine tickets for speeding.

Ilya finishes whatever he has been doing on his phone, and tosses it gently to the bed beside him. He crosses the room to Shane, stands in front of him, squeezes into his shoulders with his big hands, rubbing them like he means to warm them up.
“Looks like we will have a little vacation,” he says, with a big obnoxious grin.
Boston and Montreal are sent to Paris to play against each other in an exhibition series in January 2017. Ilya and Shane decide to stay in Paris for one more night. Just one more night, so they can talk. Maybe finally understand each other.
They aren't expecting a volcano to erupt in Iceland and close all the airspace in Europe, leaving them stranded there. Together.
