Does it matter to the war orphans, the war children, who have lost their families and houses and limbs to the fire of my nation’s soldiers? Does it matter to the fifteen-year-olds getting drafted for the war effort, the ones the generals of my father’s council call kindling? Does it matter to the—” Zuko cuts himself off, chest heaving, eyes burning. “Does it matter to the Air Nomads?”

So when Zuko followed Katara into the palace and the first thing their eyes directed them towards was what could only be described as a massacre, Zuko panicked. Someone, something—a monster, the only explanation—had gotten here before them. There were bodies, bodies from both sides of the war. Who had done this, What had done this left no survivors, no mercy.
Zuko understood why. It wasn’t a monster that had emptied the palace by bringing Death, it was Azula.
Or; Azula breaks, in the only way she knows how.

Irritation flashes across Zuko’s face. He wants to say something, but Katara doesn't give him the chance.
“You burned Toph right after you announced that you were on our side! You burned down Kyoshi Island! Not to mention what you did to yourself–!”
Zuko raises his hand.
“Wait,” he says, frowning. “You think that my scar was caused by… some kind of training accident and that I did it to myself?”
Or: Katara has doubts about Aang's new firebending teacher. After all, Zuko’s fire has already hurt too many — including himself.

You finally move away from him, then, sitting up and straightening your crooked shades. You wrap your cape around you, because without his warmth seeping into your skin you’re suddenly fucking freezing.
That’s when you realize that Karkat might be freaking the fuck out, actually. His face is all red, and he won’t quite look at you. He folds his legs up to his chest and hugs his knees and sort of stares into space as he says “you missed the end of the movie.”

Summary
Today was Dave's sixteenth birthday and it was crawling to an end. Dave had just left the others to enjoy themselves so he could retire in his room for the day. He opened his door and was about to plop down on his badly alchemised mattress when something caught his shaded eyes.
A small box was placed upon the nest of blanket, a note attached to it with familiar grey handwriting saying 'FROM KARKAT'.

Years after Dave makes the worst decision of his life, he's stuck in a metal body and told to check in on some of his old friends. Dave makes the mistake of picking Karkat first, and assumes nothing could've changed in all that time. Karkat goes on a quiet patrol through his old neighborhood, and comes across an abomination he must put an end to. But not before he finds proof that Crocker had anything to do with this.OR
Davebot goes to see karkat after he hasn't seen him in years and is ambushed, disassembled slowly, and left to rust after Karkat tries and fails to find a Crockercorp logo on him (there is no logo rip dave)

Summary
Five minutes is all Dave needs to ruin everybody's lives, apparently, especially his own. An accident in the labs begins the long and painful process of transforming into a troll, and though trolls may look remarkably similar to humans for creatures that evolved on different planets in different universes, they aren't the same at all. The transformation is debilitating, and he is forced to trust Karkat to take care of him and even keep him alive as his very insides shift within him.
Rose, meanwhile, begins work on some sort of solution -- after all, Seer of Light may as well mean Knower of Knowledge, right? She should know this. But her experience with breaking the rules is of little help when there are none to begin with, and she can hardly play with fire when it's not herself at risk of burns but her newly-discovered brother.
As time wears on with no solution, the meteor crew can't help but wonder: are they doomed? Or is there redemption for their timeline yet?

Summary
Today is yet another cold day in the middle of winter, chilly weather with a icy breeze sweeping into every nook and cranny, stealing away all the warmth it could reach. Despite it, Dave and Karkat had no plans of staying home today, after all, a little chilly wind isn't a big deal, it's not a 'stop everything' kind of problem for anyone, nothing more than a inconvenience.
Or at least, it would've been for anyone who had the common sense of dressing properly.
Karkat turns his head back, looking behind himself to meet someone that, definitely, didn't have the common sense. A shivering, frowny Dave, hugging his own exposed arms, with the hands that were supposed to be helping with the grocery bags, as he follows his boyfriend, wearing a *fucking t-shirt* while Karkat himself has a scarf and a thick sweater on.
