The clock hit 7:55, and a knock sounded on the front door. Harry practically bounced across the room, honestly overjoyed to see whoever it was on the other side. No matter what, they were taking him away from the Dursleys, and that was all that mattered. He heard Vernon’s lumbering steps entering the hall, accompanied by the sharp click of Petunia’s heels, but he raced to reach the door first. A wide grin stretched his cheeks to their limits as he threw open the door.
And the smile fell right off his face.
Shrouded in darkness, fog swirling around the hem of his long, dark robes, face as dour as ever, and hair casting cruel shadows across his face, stood Severus Snape.

This is a series of chronological and related stories from the lives of Peter Parker and his Avenger Family. Takes place at some point before Infinity War, with some details changed so the story works. (Bigger details: Civil War ended right after the airport and they all worked together and made up after that, Tony still has the Arc Reactor, Thor and Bruce are on Earth) I would say these are just a bunch of poorly veiled excuses for tropes, but let's be real. It's just a bunch of tropes. :)

Afterwards, Tony made a steadfast habit of carrying that old-school mobile phone, with one purpose and one name in the contacts, around with him wherever he went. He let it burn a hole in his pocket; let it glare at him, accusatory, as he grabbed it from the nightstand each morning.
He couldn’t bring himself to leave it behind. Not only because he might, in a few, specifically dire scenarios, need to call upon Steve Rogers. Tony lied to himself when he claimed there was no part of him that would want to pick up on the off chance that Steve needed him.
It was a truth Tony hated to acknowledge but deep down knew all the same: he owed him one.
