    Summary

"Fine, since you've been such a good true soul, opening the way for me, I suppose I can give you back something that you've lost."
Balthazar's hand flicks ever so slightly, almost as if as an afterthought on his way toward the nighstong, but with it comes a hideous wave of necrotic energy- almost like a ressurection and a murder all at once.
Mors drops instantly to his knees, a strange and choked sound leaving him.
    It happens almost in slow-motion.
Astarion's immortal eyes catch ever scrap of sinew, ever arch of unnatural flesh and bone, ripping and dying, being born anew and turned wretched all at once.
It is the death of something holy.
It is the birth of something divine.
The spines, covered haphazardly by grafted flesh on his shoulderblades make sense now-
    once, they'd been roots.
Now, necrotic and blackened, mostly bone and finely feathered by shards and daggers, they are the echoes of wings long since removed.

    Or,
a retelling of The Dark Urge Redemption story, told primarily by outside viewpoints.
    (Especially Astarion.)

    Summary

Yuuji’s grandfather is burning when the strangest man he’s ever met asks him to choose his hell.

“Will it be you?” Yuuji asks. “The one to kill me.”

There’s a brief pause before the response. “Probably. I wouldn’t entrust Sukuna’s vessel to anyone else, certainly not at full power.”

Something twinges in Yuuji’s chest at the assumption there. A duller clench follows—not quite guilt.

“No,” he says, finally looking up. “I mean now.”

Even with the blindfold—worth a sharp flare of confusion each time he looks at Gojou—Yuuji can tell Gojou’s surprised. He can see it twist into a frown too, and it’s somehow a kinder expression than all his smiles have been.

“Definitely then,” Gojou tells him. “I’m already here anyway. Just so we’re clear—you’re choosing to die now?”

When told to choose his hell, Itadori Yuuji picks the easier one—a clean death, then and there. He couldn’t have known that it was never really a choice.

Or: Gojou Satoru kidnaps a teenager, supposedly for his own good.

    Summary

Ever since Satoru slipped from his life wrapped in a cloak of midnight and silence, Suguru has done nothing but yearn.

At first he tried to soothe it by calling non stop - fearing he had, inadvertently, made a mistake so abominable as to deserve capital punishment. Naïvely, Suguru believed he could still apologize, try to do better - try to fix what had been mishandled. Yet after countless tones giving way to an automatized message in a robotic, monotonous voice, cruel in its carelessness - the flickering flame of his hope slowly died out.

'The number you are trying to reach is not available right now.'

It hasn’t been in over a month.

Or, alternatively, Suguru reaps the consequences of is own (in)actions.
