Summary
Sakura's "Romance Sensor", as Tsubakino dubbed it, as much as it irked him, did have its benefits. Namely, being able to recognize what the subtle glances his two friends throw at each other behind unaware eyes meant. He felt like he was intruding on a very private moment yet couldn't do anything since no one else would notice the things he did.
"Sakura-san, are you okay? You're getting kind of red."
They would, of course, notice his behavior.

Summary
It was supposed to be a slow short patrol around town. It was supposed to be a normal clean up.
But.
Hand twitching from where it covers his remaining functioning eye, body hunched over from the stinging pain of gravel, Suo only has a split second to be pissed at the ruined good day before he’s being dragged under, choked by terror born from the time he lost his right eye.
It's a well known fact that Suo's unflappable in just about any situation. His calm leadership and ability to cooly adapt to the changing tides during the Noroshi war only further solidified this truth. But throw some dirt in his eye and stick him with one Kiryu Mistuki? Yeah, he never stood a chance.

There’s a brief moment of silence and he already regrets everything about this.
“Chifuyu? Is that you?” Ryusei sounds genuinely surprised, which is probably why he got a serious answer instead of his typical nonsense.
“Yes,” he replies curtly. “Listen, I’m just borrowing the phone from someone so I don’t have much time for explanations, but can you come and pick me up or not?”

Or: Chifuyu needs someone to pick him up. Ryusei is glad to help in more than one sense.
