Summary
The bartender is humming along to a Christmas song playing on the radio. It's some generic pop number that Hawks has heard on a constant loop in the supermarket. Touya isn’t even looking at him. The silence is too much for Hawks. Last Christmas is playing on the radio, and the lyrics are echoing in Hawks’ head uncomfortably.
He gets up.
“I’m going outside.” He says. Touya’s eyes flick over to look at him.
“You’re not gonna call the rest of the force to come and arrest me, are you?” Touya asks.
Hawks is considering it. His phone is practically itching in his jacket pocket. He just gives Touya a cold look as he leaves the money for his beer on the table.
Touya smirks and gets up, too. “In that case, I’m going with you.”
(or: hawks receives a letter from his arsonist murderer ex-boyfriend in the mail to meet up at a bar. what happens next may shock you!)

Summary
It's holiday season at the mall. Shouto spends this year the same way he always does: he cashes out the nice old lady Chiyo for her yarn, he exchanges the nice gentleman's order for the correct size of needle, and he sees his old classmates come in and out of the store. It's a small town, so it's not that surprising that he sees the people he went to school with even five years after graduating.
Shouto almost counts down the days each week until he sees Izuku Midoriya walk into the building in his standard issue fireman’s jacket. It's been every Tuesday afternoon, consistently, for the past month. Like clockwork. He comes in, stares at the plushies and the children’s blankets, and scratches his chin for about ten minutes before he leaves without buying anything.

Todoroki looks down and if Uraraka isn't seeing things, his ears are pink. “I know about that one.”
“Oh? What happened?” Yaoyorozu asks, thinking there might be a common factor between that incident and the other ones.
“Midoriya startled me.”

Summary
Enji Todoroki is a famous movie director who lives in the gorgeous, rolling hills of Hollywood. He always has a proper staff at his estate. So it makes sense that, despite his youngest son's protests, he decided to hire a new poolboy after their last one was let go.
It shouldn't be too much of an issue. All Izuku Midoriya has to do is arrive in the early hours of the morning, make sure the pool is cleaned out properly, and then go home. He's just there to do a job. Shouto's only being dramatic; a new poolboy shouldn't get in the way of his swimming practices.
Of course that makes sense. It makes perfect sense.
In theory.
(or; an au where the todoroki family is loaded and they hire a poolboy for the summer -- a poolboy that shouto just can't keep his eyes off of.)

“Seriously though,” Keigo leans back, “What do you want for your birthday?”
“I want the world to go back to normal.” Touya says.
There’s a beat of too-long silence before Keigo lets out a weak laugh and says, “Something I can actually get you, please.”
Touya lets out a long-suffering sigh as he stares up at the hole in the ceiling, watching the smoke climb up it. Keigo watches as Touya scratches the back of his head, the fabric of his tee shirt riding up. Keigo and Touya share clothes so often that he’s not entirely sure who’s shirt it was originally, but Touya likes to wear that particular shirt at night most nights.
“A new hobby, maybe?” He shrugs. “I’ve already done everything we have here.”
(or; it may be the middle of the zombie apocalypse, but keigo wants to get his best friend something he'll actually appreciate for his birthday this year.)

“That’s what the Kindred are like.” Denki says, with a firm nod. At the ghost’s look, he waves his hand in the air. “That’s what we call people who can’t see spirits. They get one whiff of a ghost and start freaking out, y’know? You’re not a scary being.”
“I’m not?”
“Not really. Not unless you’re restless.” Denki says. He watches as a series of expressions -- all indecipherable -- cross over the spirit’s face. “What’s your name?”
“Hitoshi.” The spirit supplies. He sounds like he hasn’t said his name in a long time.
“Well, Hitoshi,” Denki claps his hands together, finally done with his makeshift table, “I hope you don’t mind having me as a roommate.”

Summary
It starts because of an innocent little nickname:
“Hey, babe,” Denki says, most of his focus on his handheld game and the blinking red light than anything else, “Could you pass me the switch charger?”
There isn’t a response, which Denki finds weird. While Hitoshi isn’t the loudest person, he’s definitely not as quiet as everyone else thinks he is.
Denki pauses the game and turns his head, blinking slow as he comes face to face with the cherry-red blush highlighting his boyfriends’ features. It only takes another second, Hitoshi voicelessly sputtering, for it to click in Denki’s brain.
He smiles.
Or: Denki finds out nicknames are one of Hitoshi’s weaknesses and begins a crusade to shower his soulmate in love.
