Damian has options. If Drake says no— he probably will— it won’t doom him. Damian could fight off the League on his own if it came down to it, it’ll just raise his likelihood of survival— not survival, he won’t kill you and what he will do is worse— to have back up and Damian would prefer to stay out of the League’s grasp. Out of Grandfather’s grasp.
So when Drake inevitably says—
“Uh— sure?”
Every train of thought running in Damian’s head comes to a screeching halt. He goes perfectly still, unsure of how to proceed.
(Or Damian believes the League of Assassins is after him and seeks shelter with Tim, though neglects to explain why he's there. Tim is… Incredibly confused why Damian is choosing to stay with him of all people and is on the case to figure out what's going on with him.)

Then both of their lives changed drastically and they drifted. When Tim was suddenly pushed into the Infinite Realms only to be released after marriage or death, he certainly did not think he'd find his ex ruling them. And even less that both of them would fall for each other again.

Harley was just going to get snacks for Bud & Lou, her hyenas. She did not mean to befriend a tourist, but the kid's almost as crazy as she is!

Amity Park doesn't exist. That's the official line.
On the surface, it would appear that Amity Park truly didn't. But the more Batman digs, the less true that seems. You add the fact that there's an unconscious teenager in the Batcave's Medbay that begged for his help and Batman smells a coverup. Amity Park may not exist on paper, but Batman won't let that stop him from saving it.
Tucker's on his last legs. The escape out of Amity took everything he had and of all the places to land in, he finds himself in Gotham. Through a bit of creative hacking and desperation, he manages to find the reclusive Batman, only to babble about needing help and passing out at the man's feet. He just has to convince Batman that ghosts exist and that his entire town is in danger. Easy, right?
