Summary
Regulus Black hates James Potter. He hates his obnoxious attitude, the way he never thinks before he acts, and he especially hates him for the horrible thing he did while they were at Hogwarts, the thing he will never forgive him for.
He doesn't, however, hate Jace, the man he's been talking to through a wall for the past few weeks, ever since his friend dragged him to Sirius's new and absolutely ridiculous dating club Illuminate, where people get to know each other through enchanted barriers.
These two facts have nothing to do with each other.
Just so you know.

James Potter is newly single and horrible at saying no to his best friend. So, he somehow finds himself sitting in a room with Ara, growing steadily obsessed with everything about the man. The catch? The damn partition between them makes it so James has no idea what Ara looks or sounds like.
At the same time, James is struggling with guilt over the things he did while his was young and stupid. He's worked hard to become a better person now, but he knows that he's hurt people, and it still eats at him.
These two facts have nothing to do with each other.

When Will needs to get his thoughts out of his head, he writes a letter he never intends to send. He addresses it to Mike, and tells him everything.
Feeling lighter than he has in weeks and buoyed by the adrenaline of writing it all out, Will acts on an impulse and ends the letter with, "If you’d be willing to give me a chance, I’d be really happy to date you. If you’re open to trying it, please meet me in Castle Byers this Saturday at 2:00pm. I’m not asking for any promises, I’m not asking for forever or anything like that; all I’m asking is that you give me a chance. Come if you want; if not, I completely understand, no hard feelings, and I’ll never, ever mention this again."
He forgets all about the letter, and the distinctive red envelope he stowed it in, until he turns around to find it missing. Now, Will has to think of some way to stop Mike from reading that letter - or should he wait at Castle Byers on Saturday at 2:00pm and pray for a miracle?

It’s soft. Hesitant.
James frowns, glancing up from the chessboard where Sirius is currently kicking his ass with alarming ease. “That’s weird. We expecting anyone?”
Sirius shrugs, mouth full of biscuit. “It’s snowing. Who the fuck knocks in the middle of a snowstorm?”
James sets the board aside and heads for the front door. It’s late — past midnight, definitely — and he’s halfway expecting one of the neighbors needing magical help again with their cursed fireplace.
He swings the door open—
And freezes.
Regulus Black stands in the snow, drenched and shaking, a scarf barely clinging to his neck, his hair plastered to his forehead, pale lips trembling. His eyes — grey and beautiful, always beautiful — are wide and unsure.-,'-
