Summary
Ever since he and Shen Wenlang got together properly, Wenlang has been… careful. Too careful.
They have sex, yes, but it's nothing like what Gao Tu had imagined intimacy with an S-class alpha like Wenlang would be like.
It's soft and cautious. Wenlang prepares him meticulously, and Gao Tu never feels even a second of discomfort. The alpha never goes too hard or too fast or grips too tightly. It's all perfectly romantic and nice.
Gao Tu hates it.

"You're pregnant," Shen Wenlang says. "With my baby."
"No," Gao Tu denies instantly, rage starting to eat the panic. "With my baby. I don't want anything from you but for you to leave me alone."
His instincts start to stir, something violent and old writhing in his gut, but he doesn't have long to think about it before Shen Wenlang, jaw tight, reaches out as if to grab him.
The sudden snarl that tears out of Gao Tu's throat as he steps back is so vicious it hurts to make, but the omega ignores the pain and bares his teeth, one hand curled protectively around his stomach and the other hovering, ready to do whatever it takes to protect his child.
"There is no amount of money you can throw at me to make me give him up," he hisses, a growl hovering beneath every word. "And trust me, Shen Wenlang, when I say I will fucking kill you before I let you hurt my baby."

Or Gao Tu gets to bitch slap Shen Wenlang like he deserves, and Shen Wenlang decides that he is going to do whatever it takes to keep this feral omega and his (future) pup

Gao Tu's barely managed to tug together half his senses when he feels hot breath right over his mating gland.
Ice floods his veins. No.
"Don't," he manages to say, desperately contorting his bound wrists to try and block the gland with his hands.
Wenlang only yanks them away with a warning growl that has Gao Tu fighting every instinct he has not to bare his neck even more.
"Don't?" the alpha mocks, hot and heavy against Gao Tu's neck. "This is what you wanted, isn't it? Luring me here with that scent… you don't get to take it back. You're mine now."

Or Shen Wenlang marks Gao Tu the night he assaults him at the X Hotel, leaving them both to face the consequences of his actions. Wracked with guilt over what he's done, Shen Wenlang tries to make amends.

The words are spoken with sympathy, but Gao Tu hardly hears it, too busy feeling as though he's just been ordered to the gallows.
"How long?" he manages to ask.
His doctor's lips thin. "Ideally, as soon as possible, but you must have regulated your system before the end of the 1st trimester. Any later than that will almost certainly be fatal for the child and possibly for you as well."
"There isn't any other way?" Gao Tu's voice is steady, even as his world falls apart. He supposes he can thank the decade he spent at Shen Wenlang's side for that.

Or instead of being able to disappear like he'd planned, medical instability forces Gao Tu to return to the alpha he'd sworn to abandon.

Gao Tu’s phone wobbled in his grip. His thumb kept slipping, and he made the mistake of looking directly at Shen Wen Lang’s face on the screen — the eyes, black, bright, pinning him exactly where he sat in the center of his own, unmade bed. “Maybe I wanted—” He choked. As long as he didn’t finish the sentence, it didn’t exist, and as long as it didn’t exist, he hadn’t said it.
But Wen Lang would, of course, finish it for him. “Are you in bed?”
Gao Tu nodded.
“Alone?”
He nodded again.
Late one night, a drunken misdial turns Gao Tu’s screen into a stage he never meant to step on. Half-naked, exposed, and flushed under the blue glow of his phone, he finds himself at the mercy of his immaculate boss, Shen Wen Lang.

The last thing he remembered was falling asleep in the study. HS Group’s latest acquisition was complex, and the reports needed thorough review. Yet, in his hands weren't company documents… but Gao Tu’s latest medical report. The black folder had been hidden in the top right drawer for months. He refused to get rid of it. This was the best way to remember what an idiot he’d been. For months, he’d suffered the pain of loss; but there was nothing more agonizing than knowing Gao Tu didn't want to be found.
